Summer's Coming Need Acne Help!!!

Hi Ladies,
I have a problem. I am an extremely hairy person. UGH!

So, all my life have had to deal with hairy forearms, arms and back. Don't get me wrong. Its not taco meat hair, just smooth black hair that stands out against my brown skin.

Biggest problem is because of the hair I am prone to BACNE! UGGGGH! I hate it with a passion!

So, now I need your help/suggestions on how to get rid of the hair and the bacne.

Do I need to get everything waxed or is there an over the counter remedy that can remove the hair?

What are your recommendations?

Because, if I have to do waxing then I will have to use homemade acne solutions because the waxing will cost BIG MONEY?

Tell me what you think because I need suggestions. I am ready to get rid and avoid BACNE this summer!

Thanks

Well Ladies,
In case anyone is in my shoes, this is what I've decided to do:

I will wax my skin where I do not want the hair. (if you hear an "OUCH" it'll probaly be me)

Then I will apply an ASPRIN Mask:

1. Mix 3 or more uncoated asprin tablets with organic honey
2. Add ACV (maybe a couple drops of TTO, instead)
3. Apply mask for 30m, then rinse

I will do this for 1x per week and up the applications if I need to.

I hope it works I will keep you dated as to the results.

hahaha yeah, I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard me shouting in pain when I tried waxing at home, haha.

First, let me say you are definitely not alone! I haven't found a magical hair removal system, so I rely on shaving for now. It gets annoying especially when I have to do it every day, but I don't really have the money for professional waxing & when I tried waxing at home it was waaaay too messy. I also tried waxing strips and they just didn't grab enough hair to make it worthwhile. Nair & other hair removing creams also didn't remove enough hair - apparently my hair is quite resistant, haha.

For the acne/bacne, I would recommend using a bodywash with salicylic acid in it. Neutrogena has one, and I'm sure you could find a few others at your local drugstore. Salicylic acid works as an exfoliator so that your hair folicles won't get plugged up with dirt/bacteria which causes acne. If you have facial acne, you could try salicylic acid face washes, or a normal facewash followed with a benzyl peroxide cream, like Neutrogena On-the-spot (I use the second option & it works pretty well)

I would definitely try the aspirin mask thing once a week, too - I have heard wonderful things about them.

Oh, and one last thing - if you're waxing, watch out for ingrown hairs! They can actually end up looking a lot like pimples. Just make sure you exfoliate & try to moisturzie well to prevent irritation!

Let us know how your routine works out!

Personally, salicylic acid acne products DO NOT work on me. They actually just make me break out more--that's including aspirin masks and the whole gamut. In my search for a cure, I came across acne.org. The owner of the site sells a benzoyl perioxide gel at a very reasonable price. This is the only thing in all my 23 years that has cleared up my acne (and I've tried a lot of things including retin-a, paula's choice, proactiv, etc)! I cannot live without it!! If you do decide to go this route, make sure you watch his videos on how to apply the "Treatment" gel as he calls it. (There's a specific, but easy, way to go about applying it.)

Good luck!!
