Oatmeal Mask.. for cleansing? this seems wrong!

Ok, so I tried an aspirin mask abt a month ago & had a terrible reaction, my entire face broke out in a rash! i guess my skin is too sensitive for that. It looked like i headbutt a poison ivy plant & itched like it too! So at night to soothe it i ground organic oatmeal i already had & mixed that with water then added a lil honey & put it on my face every night or whenever it itched! When id rinse it my face felt clean so id just moisturize w. Jojoba Oil after (i was scared to use my olay).. I did this for abt a week till the rash went away & when it did, my skin was clearer than before & soft, my tone seemed more even (i have dark marks from using BP).

I have no idea why this worked so good because ive only heard oatmeal as being good for dry skin.. i know honey is good for acne so maybe that played a major part? & when i rinse it it slightly exfoliates so maybe that helps too? I used to do Jess' regimen with the Oatmeal Flax & goats milk but that only worked for a short while. Im thinking about adding the goatsmilk powder from that to this..

I strayed from this & my face broke out a lil but i started back last night.. i will do it every night for another week & see if there is any further improvement, but for now i love it! Thoughts?

Yes! I love oatmeal as a face wash! I powder some regular oatmeal flakes, mix a small quantity with warm water and sometimes add a single drop of tea tree essential oil to prevent pimples.
Skin is soft, with less red spots and feels cleaner then ever without the drieness.
