I used straight egg white once (broken up with a stick blender, but a fork would be fine) and my hair was absolutely gorgeous and shiny, but it was very stiff and started to itch later in the day. I separated the white from the yolk and just worked the white into my wet hair then blew it dry slightly. Gorgeous. People say not to use heat when using eggs but I didn't have any problem.

I mix an egg white in with my FSG now for the added hold and shine. I personally love it.

thank you for posting, you read my mind. I was just thinking about this yesterday. I didn't do it, but plan to find that out one way or another.

I think I am going to do an egg, followed by a banana

I use egg yolk for deep treatment once every month. Even though my hair does not tolerate protein in conditioners and hair products it still needs some protein every once in a while.
I mix an egg yolk with half (sometimes 1/4) avocado and about 3 table spoon of olive oil (keep in mind that I have a lot of hair, 3 ts of OO maybe too much for someone with fine hair). It makes my hair shiny and soooooo soft for a long time.

I'm from Tunisia, it's where I am right now for the whole summer. You can see parts of Tunisia from Sicily and other parts of South Italy. I hope you enjoy your stay. I'm sure you're going to love the food. I hope your next travel will be to Tunisia, it's a very beautiful country, you're gonna love it.

you are better to rinse out with coolish water or you could get pieces of egg!

Eggs are usually used as a protein treatment, so don't go overboard. You shouldn't use warm water as a rinse unless you want cooked pieces of egg stuck in your hair. I had to learn that the hard way. I've been picking pieces of egg off my hair all day!
