I wanna make a curly pudding or buttercreme for a twist out WITHOUT getting those little white ball thingys in my hair

Why not try unrefined shea butter ? It is the best thing I've used for twists, and it leaves no residue.

Eco Custard:

1/2 cup eco styler gel (original)
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 tablespoon aloe vera gel

Low-poo: Nourish Shampoo
Co-wash: Suave, Vo5, HE, Aussie Moist
Deep Conditioner: GVP Conditioning Balm
Leave-in: Nourish Conditioner (Trader Joe's)
Stylers: LA Looks Sports, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil.
Methods: Wet plop or pineapple at night, diffuse in the morning. Scrunch w/joboba, coconut or almond oil.

Does that infer that this is a knock off of Curling Custard?

I've been using ECO with AVG lately with my daughter and loving the results. Will this be better?

This ECOstyler I have is the Olive Oil one. Should I use less or none at all?

Cleanse- KCCC, Deva No Poo, Tres Semme Naturals, Joico K-pak (once in a while)

Condish- Matrix Conditioning Balm, sometimes with honey and/or AVG

DT- Joico K-pak or Coco Nut Oil mixed with Conditioner

Leave in- KCKT or Matrix Conditioning Balm

Stylers- Arc Angel, Set it Free, B-leave in, KC Tiny Twirls, KC Spiral Spritz, FSG, KCCC

Made it and LOVE IT! All the hold I need with none of the crunch. Definitely my choice of styling products for now. I'll need to find a gel without protein or with a lot less of it, but this is great nonetheless. Thanks!

This I totally agree with Unrefined shea butter makes my hair so soft and I'm in love with it more than any other product. Though I am also curious about the Eco recipie thing...

Any success with the recipe listed in this thread? Or any other recipe to add? This is just what I'm looking for except I have the eco argan oil. Will that work?

How does a solid oil (the coconut is solid at room temp, right?) get mixed in to the other stuff (do you heat it all and stir as it cools?) and then does the solid oil stay non-solid so its easy to use in one's hair?

I made a hair pudding mix today using the following:
eco styler argan oil
Sally's gvp balm (with was too thick so I added Carol's daughter leave in which is watery and thinned it nicely)
castor oil
jojoba oil
Shea butter

This was the first time so I don't know the exact measurements since I went by consistency. Gonna try it Tuesday. Hoping to say adios Miss Jessie!

Goodbye miss Jessie's!! I love my hair with my homemade concoction. I have lots of body and movement with just enough hold. Let's see how many days I can wear it. But I am too happy. This will really help my pjism. Used gel, conditioner, Shea butter and oil. Simple.
