Default plastic bottles and containers - where to get them

Hi,
For those of you who make your own gel, conditioners, lotions, etc. Where do you buy your plastic bottles? I've been checking stores like Big Lots, 99 cent Store, Dollar Tree, and am going to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and WalMart today, but I have not had any luck finding decent-sized bottles for a good price, and/or in bulk and with a flip top.
Dollar tree had little 2oz bottles with a pump-type and spray-type lid. A dollar for a 2-pack is pretty cheap, but neither lid type is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll settle for the pump lid, but 2oz is really small.

Any suggestions? I'm willing to order them online in bulk if anyone has a website they order off of. Any size between 6 and 12 oz. I'd prefer flip top lids, but would take pumps, definitely not spray lids because I am making FSG. Thanks!

I got mine at target for 0.99... it's not very big, and it has the spray lid on it.

I would definitely try Walmart and BB&B..

My mind is going blank right now.. haha I'm trying to think of the name of a store and cannot think of it!!! it's the one where you can buy stuff in bulk for a pretty good price...usually by a walmart or something. lol Sorry, it totally just jumped out of my brain and ran away!

I just buy enough for myself, not in bulk so my info may not be helpful. I buy on ebay or etsy. Here is an example of what I pull up:
hdpe bottles | eBay

hdpe bottles on Etsy, a global handmade and vintage marketplace.

I like that both sources are typically individuals or small companies and I can get a "custom" order of exactly the sizes, shapes and caps-and number of bottles-I want.

Thanks, guys. I did find some nice 6oz bottles at Target for a dollar each. Eventually I'm going to buy some in bulk I think, but for now I needed about a half dozen, just to make some nice samples for Christmas when I see my curly cousins and sisters

I'm going to order some Optiphen though, and the Optiphen I've found online also sells bulk bottles and caps for a good price so I may go ahead and buy them, but I could be getting ahead of myself, lol.

I repurpose most of my containers. I use old conditioner bottles and jars, heck tonight I finished off the last of my liquid coffee creamer and will use that for my conditioner mixes. I even store my powders in jars from pasta sauce - works great. Oh, To get started, until I used up some things, I used the ziplock platistic containers that have the screw on tops.

When it's just for me, I repurpose too. I use bottles my CJ products came in, those are great bottles! Same for KC products, and the labels will peel off. I then scrub the sticky places with orange oil cleaner and the bottles are good as new.
But when I want to give myFSG away to someone, I don't want to put it in an already-used container, that just doesn't feel right. I mean, I gave my sister some FSG to try, and I put it in a sample bottle I washed out that I'd used before, but she's my sister. She doesn't care. I'm going to see cousins I only see once or twice a year, I feel like I should give them clean, unused bottles, you know?
Anyway, I did find 6oz bottles with squeeze tops at Target. I would've prefered at least 8oz because as FSG users know, it takes ALOT of FSG to get good curls, you have to coat your hair, and to me, 6oz is basically 2 applications, but oh well!

I'd think any site that sells base products (oil, butters, powders, preservatives etc.) and/or soap-making stuff would have containers for sell.

You could Google it, but the American ones I know of (assuming you are in America) off head are:
mountainroseherbs.com
camdengrey.com
essentialwholesale.com
fromnaturewithlove.com
personalformulator.com
thesage.com

Look in 'packaging', 'misc' or 'accessories'.
For information, the girls on here and swiftcraftmonkey's blog will see you right! HTH!

When I make my FSG I love to put it in the Agave bottle (reuse). The hole is the perfect size to squeeze the goopy stuff out. Perfect I tell you!

What you could do is buy a cheap product in a container you like and throw out the product and just use the container. I did this with some good sized hand soap bottles from the Dollar Tree, just dumped out the soap and washed the bottles.

That sounds horribly wasteful!
