Need Castor Oil Recipes

I made my butter and have a lot of castor oil left over. Wondering what are some good castor oil based recipes. Ideally, I want a spritz/spray, or a creme/butter that I can use when taking down protective styles.

Thanks!

The guy at the health food store told me castor oil is great for dry skin. Ke said jamaican black is best but I heard it smells.

Mix it with jojoba or sweet almond oil and use it on your scalp overnight once or twice a week.
My hair grew one inch in one month because of that. I also use pure CO on my lashes. And I can see the diff.

Some say massaging it on your scalp can help hair growth. Could you CO wash castor oil out?

Castor oil

+ Conditioner = Deep conditioner, more moisturizing

+ Coconut oil - strengthens hair, penetrates hair, protein-like

+ Olive oil - helps hair growth, softens hair, penetrates hair

+ wet hair - seal moisture in, keeps moisture in but keeps more from coming in, so apply it after moisture treatments

+ scalp massage = encourages hair growth, thickens thinning hair, softens

+ eyebrows - fills eyebrows in

+ eyelashes - stronger, moisturized lashes = longer, thicker lashes

+ drink = laxative, cleans you out

+ skin = moisturizes skin.. Lip balm?

I use it everyday to wash my face (oil cleansing method). I mix it with apricot oil or grapeseed oil and I just started adding honey too, my face feels like satin :)

Oh, me too. But I use a castor oil and sunflower oil mix. I heard some of the oils eventually clog their pores and break people out, even the original mix which is olive oil. I think that it depends on the comedogenicity (is that a word?) rating.

You can check the list at http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acn...e/article6.htm

Olive oil is 2 - medium
Coconut oil - 4
Jojaba is 0-2 - good
Castor oil is 1 - good
Sunflower oil is 0 - very good
Check the list for more.

On the eyelash growth I did read that some where about it. And I've been applying that with vitamin e to my eyes. I swear the lashes on the bottom are fuller and they do look longer although I've had long eyelashes always before using the oil. But u can use castor oil for various things. It's really good for sealing in moisture. I've been using it in conjunction with a water based styler and oil based cream. Hair is soft and shiny and twists are defined.

Perfect if you use a mix of castor oil and beautiful textures shine and silken growth oil. It lightens castor oil very well , and has LOTS of good vitamins and oils mixed in it. It's been 3 weeks and I think it's making my hair grow

Do you know the ratio you are supposed to use? I have my homemade leave in conditioner and would like to try adding castor oil to it.

The profile of the person above you says she has not been here since Sept. of last year.

Castor oil is a heavy oil so before you add it to the whole batch measure out an individual portion of your LI and just add a few drops to it to see how you like it, and don't put any near your scalp, I remember you mentioned having enough oil there. I added some to my old Suave Lavender Lilac but only use it right after coloring my hair (and it leaves my hair well-moisturized).

Spam alert...! Although I "knew" it I wanted to confirm it so I went there and saw nothing about recipes, so beware. Plus, a search showed there is no real basis for claiming JBCO is any better than cold-pressed. IMHO, if anything it would be the contrary because JBCO is more processed and gets the black color from the addition of castor bean ashes why may or may not have any benefit at all.

I have noticed that each time I used my Suave Lavender and Lilac to which I added castor oil my hair seemed very nicely moisturized. I just about ran out of that so I'm going to try mixing a little into a different CO.

I've also added some to the small bottle with Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil I keep in the BA even though it's listed as one of the oils in it. I read it's good for cleaning the skin and in the winter I use it all over my face, now I use it mainly to remove eye-makeup or on dry spots anywhere on my skin but sometimes to SOTC too and on my ends and canopy when I go wavy or straight.
