I'm pretty much new to the concept of making my own hair products, but I do have some prior knowledge of certain oils, butters, etc. You pretty much have to research. Youtube diy videos help a lot. You get to see the product and learn a bit about its properties. I recently stumble upon a few websites pertaining to supplies & recipes that currently has my creative juices flowing. Check it out, I found it very informative to me.
