Aubrey's natural preservative
I'm thinking of trying my hand at making a few hair products for myself and have been reading threads on preservatives. It seems that the general consensus here is that vitamins a, c, and e and grapefruit seed extract are not real preservatives and don't adequately preserve water-based products. I noticed that Aubrey organics, whose products have a one-year shelf life, uses a preservative composed of these exact four ingredients. I've used several of their products and have never had an issue with spoilage. What's your take on Aubrey's preservative?
