Default Favorite place to go to research new recipes or beauty "secrets"?

Mine favorite place to learn is probably youtube. My favorite beauty gurus might post a video on their favorite hair masks or skin care routines. Other than that I don't know where to look.

Aandreaschoice is a curly girl on Youtube. She rolls her hair about half of the time tho. She does a lot of heat-less styling which is interesting.

I'd personal love to learn more about ingredients (silicons, proteins, etc) in products as well! That's be so cool. :O I'm in a community college right now studying scientific engineering. One more semester!! Then I plan to transfer to a 4 years and major in chemical engineering. So scarryyy. ;__;

Anywayssss, do you have any favorite websites, blogs or books to read about hair care?

My first book about hair care was
"If you love it, it will grow!" written by Dr. Phoenyx Austin
and I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more about hair care
I would recommend it to everyone, there is a lot of information on hair structure, causes for different hair issues, tips on how to handle your hair and scalp if you have this or that problem, and some information about ingredients in products.

The next one I am going to buy as soon as it is published is "Better than good hair" by Nikky Walton - I also really like her blog (curlynikky.com)

...hmm..yeah i guess thats it, when I have some specific question about haircare I look on NC or google it and end up having tons of blogs to choose from

I should get a kindle so I can start collecting a couple books. :]

Do you think "If you love it, it will grow!" would be a good book to invest in for any hair type? I don't have a extremely strong curl pattern so I hope these is something in that book that I can use. :]

Ohhh, I think you meant curlynikki. I believe I've seen her blog before! I found her when I was reading about Henna.

I think the book could be useful for everyone trying to take better care of it...her hair care tips are more based in whats good for hair in general than in "this is good for this and that curl type". i loved it, and am seriuously thinking about translating it for some friends who don't speak english so they will know some more about their hair

Haha and yeah, you're right i meant curlynikki
