FSG container size
I want to give homemade FSG a shot, but obviously I need to get some good containers first. I've been searching through a lot of threads, but can't find a clear answer to this.
What size container is good for storing FSG? After reading other threads, my plan is to make a batch and store it in containers that are the right size to last me a week. I'll keep one in the fridge, the rest in the freezer, and thaw those as needed. That's the gist of FSG storage, right?
But I'm at a loss for what size container I'll need. I have fine, dense, hair that is at the top of my shoulders. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi, I make a batch every 1-2weeks. I use alot because I have long hair. I don't use any special containers, I just waited until I finished a bottle of my conditioner, cleaned it out well and then filled it with fsg. Its a 12oz bottle so its the perfect size. I keep it in the fridge and every morning I take it to the bathroom with me, use what I need, then put it back in the fridge for the next day.
If you want to separate it into smaller portions, you can get a pack of the travel size bottles at Target or walgreens or even at a dollar store.

I freeze mine in an ice cube tray. Take out the number of cubes I need for one use, put them in a plastic bag, throw the bag at the bottom of shower and let them thaw while I am showering. This keeps it from going bad and I don't have to put cold product on my head.
Also, use about 3 times the amount you think you need. In my experience, more is better with FSG.
HTH.

Hair: 2a or 3a (not sure), very porous and fine as frog hair
Day 1: Cowash and condition with AO GPB, ACV Rinse,
Co-Kra gel (this stuff is fantastic)
Day 2: KCKT, KCCC, plop, KCCC, plop again, air dry
Day 3: Curly Kinks Satin Roots, Coil Jam
Day 4: IAGirl's PT, KBB DT, FSG
Co-Kra gel is my own concoction of okra boiled in coconut milk. It is a cross between FSG and KCCC and leaves my hair very soft and shiny

I freeze in 4 oz portions using little storage cups bought from smart and final. Then thaw overnight. I then put into a squeeze bottle I bought at walmart. Sally's has them also. I like to change my formula according to the season

The size of the container should match how much gel you use per hair styling session and how often you use it (# days a week, etc).
I store my flax seed gel in a 3 oz squeeze top bottle I bought at Rite Aid.

Thanks for all the responses! There are some great ideas in here. I never would have thought of the ice tray or the storage cups on my own.
I bought some flax seeds this weekend, but ended up having company over and ran out of time to try out a recipe. I'm hoping to tackle this project next weekend!
