Default Coffee to remove product build up??

I saw this on Pinterest, I'm thinking about trying it...but I was wondering if anyone else on here has tried it.

Coffee softens and adds shine to hair. Coffee also brings out highlight in brown hair. Ingredients: 2 tablespoons coffee 2 tablespoons your regular shampoo teaspoon baking soda (removes buildup from styling products)

the baking soda would remove product build up. Not the coffee, though coffee does do as would you said. A better way is to use diluted apple cider vinegar

Just use a clarifying shampoo. They aren't expensive.

I used coffee in henna once - it was a strange way to have a caffeine boast.

Baking soda should be avoided on your hair and skin as it's strongly alkaline. Hair and skin are acidic. Also it's harsh try using around your household e.g. to remove stains from china and you will see how harsh it is.
