Default Fennel in FSG?

I got my hair cut a couple of weeks ago at a new salon. I was VERY surprised when the stylist didn't look at me like I had a hole in my head when I told him my hair routine. Instead, he was thrilled! He said that he loves natural products and he actually makes his own soap and laundry detergent at home. When he opened his salon, he actually considered building a hair treatment/smoothie bar. Get a delicious fresh fruit smoothie and they will mix up a banana or avocado hair treatment from the same ingredients!

Anyway, he suggested that I add some fennel to my plain fsg. He said that it might help thicken my hair and give some texture because it is fine. I googled this, but couldn't find any info. I added 2 tsp of fennel seeds to my fsg, but I haven't really noticed a difference.

Has anyone else heard of using fennel in hair products?

I just did a quick google search, and the consensus is - it helps with shedding hair and hair loss, and also strengthens the hair. I know it's amazing for tummy aches and is a natural diuretic. Didn't know it would be good for the hair too, but makes sense.

Caution is don't use in excess when pregnant, or even taking oral contraceptives as it has an effect on hormones.
