Tea Rinse?

Hey guys! I have 2c hair which somehow manages to be both crazy frizzy and ridiculously oily. I've seen a couple different places mention using a tea rinse on oily hair, and was wondering if any of y'all had tried it. None of the sites I saw mentioned even what kind of tea to use, so I don't know if they meant black, green, herbal, anything goes... Have any of you guys tried it?
My scalp is oily, but my hair is dry and frizzy. I tried the tea rinse a couple times, but I didn't do it often enough to notice a difference. It should help and certainly won't hurt.

I believe it should be done with black tea, as black tea is an astringent. I just wouldn't try it if you have light colored hair.
I LOVE a chamomile tea rinse! I don't have oily hair but it makes it super soft Especially when I add a few drops of lavender oil.

Green teas, black teas, and herbal teas are all fine, and I know Curly Nikki has a few articles on them that should come up with a quick Google search.

When I do a tea rinse I just bring a pot of water to boil on the stove and let a teabag or two steep for ~20 minutes while I take a shower. I use a big pot so I can just dunk my entire head in it after my shower, then dump it on my hair over the sink, add my leave-in, and get on with my life.

I have tried tea rinse using black tea and my hair feels soft and manageable afterwards. I'm not sure but I think it also darken my hair.
Different teas give different results. I like using black tea because it has so many more benefits, including darken the hair. Here is my recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nizU...Ifu6Gj&index=2

Also, I hope the attached picture helps.
