Default Any ideas for a stubble softener for a prickly faced man?

My boyfriend gets VERY rough stubble on his face. Like little mini razor blades. I love him very much- but sometimes if he goes more than a day without shaving he gets those little razors and it hurts when he kisses me. Anybody have any suggestions for a homemade potion- or even a product that can help soften the stubble?

What kind of razor does he use? It could just be me but my b/f started shaving with a safety razor (yes the old fashioned way...double sided one where you just remove the blades) and his seems to grow back a little softer. It could just be that he's using a kiss my face brand of shaving lotion instead of the gels they sell too. I'm not really sure otherwise...
Try this link maybe someone can help here....

Different shaving cream? OTOH, as a mom, I find it sweet when brothers give their sisters a hug and/or kiss. My kids do and I love to see it...reminds me that they love each other in spite of the fights.

My DH likes to use the mug + shaving soap in a bar + brush. It is economical, ecological (no propellants or big metal cans to get rid of) and he swears it works better.

That's what my SO likes to use as well! I loves shaving with the double edge safety razor and the mug soap with the brush! It's saving him sooooooo much money and me too since I started my legs haven't been smoother!

I gave my bf all my non-cg conditioners and told him he had to use some on his face if he wasn't going to shave every day. He complains about it, but he does it anyway
