Default Honey vs. Molassis

I've seen that alot of recipes that you've all shared use honey in them. I'm worried that honey will lighten my hair and I've heard that you can subsitute it with molassis. Is this possible and is the effect still the same or is this just a myth?

Thanks for your help, everyone!

Look at my Honey vs. Molasses thread - it's a bit down the page, and it's a poll.

I've used the molasses before. It has the same effect as honey, and will darken hair instead of lighten it. But beware, it makes much more of a mess than honey! I tried it at a hotel once, and wouldn't do it at home!
