Help!!!Arm hair problems!!!

I have a problem. I'm hispanic and am hairy... Its embarassing, ok. I have other kids in my class pointing out just how hairy my hands are.. very embarassing. I have a tan skin tone so bleaching them would look totally fake on me and shaving them is just gross(in my own oppion).

Is there anything I can do!?!
Is there somthing I could put on my arms to lighten "The problem" just a bit, or a few shades?
If anyone will please help me, I would be more than happy.

And just for fun I want to put this smilie because I've been dying to use it.
I sort of have the same problem; brown skin, black bodyhair. I personally shave my arms, but waxing or epilating are good alternatives. If the hairs on your arms are long and very noticeable like mine were and you wear a lot of short-sleeved shirts, I really recommend any form of hair-removing that you feel comfortable with, because even though you will probably start getting stubble in two or three days, removing arm hair doesn't take long and can be easily done along with removing armpit hair. I've left my arm hair unshaven for weeks but it's never grown back to the same extent that it used to be before I started shaving.

So I don't really think there are any other ways of not removing the hairs and yet making them unnoticeable, other than bleaching.
How about getting them waxed? After you wax them a few times the hair will grow in thinner and take longer to grow.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
I'm just too scared to do that, but thank you for the advice.
I know a lot of friends who shave, wax, and do something I think is called 'rolling'. Basically you have someone roll a length of string over your arm and it snags up the hairs and pulls them out.

I really wouldn't worry about your arms. My best friend's father is a BEAST, and she inherited his hairiness (we're talking arm hair, leg hair, back hair, stomach hair, everything) and she's one of the prettiest girls I know, and she's never had a problem getting a boyfriend or anything.
Thanks.
I just always feel insecure about my arm and hand hair. But yeah, its true arm hair isn't a huge deal, so I shouldn't worry about it.

I've waxed my arm hair (not even because I mind how it looks, I just...wanted to try. Don't ask. The smooth arm feeling was pretty great xD), and it really doesn't hurt much for me. And don't go thinking I'm one who doesn't mind pain, I quite dislike waxing legs, but arms? No problem. I guess the hair is much thinner. I also get little red dots and the like when I wax my legs, and ingrown hairs, but never any such issue on the arms. Anyways, I've only done it twice or so on one arm, and it looks identical to the other arm, so no thickening of the hair or anything like that. I know you said you're too scared to wax, but you should really try it if you mind the hair that badly, it's not as bad as a "regular" leg wax experience. Shaving? Stubble on arms is just the worst concept ever for me. Ew...

I am really hairy and I finally tried these and they work!!!! I do my legs once a week and my arms and upper lip maybe once every 3 weeks. The 1st time you use them you may have to cut the longer hairs and it may take longer to rub the hair away but maintenance is quick. Waxing is a mess and my hair would grow back in just a few days. I think most drug stores have these in the "as seen on TV" section.

IMO, it works faster then the SmoothAway. I found myself circling FOREVER with the SmoothAway. SmoothAway you can find in most drug stores like CVS, in Bed Bath and Beyond, "As Seen on Tv" stores, and i'm sure in many other places. I got the HairOff at Ulta.

You metioned that you are in High School. Some of the excessive arm hair my be due to the ongoing strange brew of teenage hormones & puberty. Usually it all should start to quiet down around the age of 19 or so....

If not, then when you sit out in the sun to work on a tan and vitamin d, to expose your arms to the sun for some natural bleaching.... Make sure to moisturize after wards....

Your arm hair does not say whats in your heart and soul.....
I am mostly Armenian with almost black hair and just about the lightest skin around. I was called so many names in grade school and highschool because of it. I tried bleaching, which looked weird against my white skin. I even tried trimming it down a bit (so it was still dark and there, just not as thick). I thought shaving my arms was disgusting and the hair would grow back thicker, etc. When I was in my late teens my younger siblings and mother convinced me to give it a try. It is WONDERFUL! I've been doing it for more than 10 years now and the hair doesn't grow back thicker, and it really doesn't look that noticeable even when it is growing back in. I really urge you just to give it a try.

The only other thing no one has mentioned here is an epilator. In case you don't know what they are, here is the one I have:
http://www.amazon.com/Braun-SE3170-S...3581935&sr=1-2

I've tried this on my arms before and it works just fine, however I find shaving is easier. It can be a bit uncomfortable for some though (it's literally plucking many hairs at once).

They bother you about small genetic appearances. It didn't actually matter to me, till stupid school kids started pointing it out.

I shave my arms every now again and my friends freak out when I tell them why my arms are so smooth. They always yell it out loud in the cafeteria. I don't need to remember if my friend shaves their arms or not but you don't to yell aloud (even if I think it's hilarious when they freak out). I think arm hair grows back much slower than arm hair and if it grows back thicker just buy another razor you'll be fine. My hair didn't grow back thicker in fact I think it gotten thinner over time so there you go.

Girls I went through the sammmmmmme thing in grade school.... ah the younger days. I hated the ridicule it bothered me so much that I went out and bough jolen and bleached the hairs on my arms for awhile.... then I tried trimming.... and then I got older and it started to not bother me anymore. when I got to high school, people were a little more mature, and I even met other girls with dark hair and nobody cared. I feel for you, because its definitely so normal to feel embarrassed about it when kids point it out and joke about it and make you feel bad, but I promise it will get better, and don't lose your head trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist

I have the same problem you are not alone.Im a very self concious about my arm hair.I have very pale fair skin and long dark arm hair. What i do is a get a hair trimmer. It shortens the hair.DO NOT SHAVE.it grows back thick and black.Thats just gross.Just buy a hair trimmer. Then one it is trimmed dye it a VERY light blonde.DO NOT BLEACH.Bleach will make ur arm hair white.Hope it helps(:
Have you considered trimming your hair with scissors rather than shaving? I too am Hispanic with dark hair and was always so embarrassed about the hair on my arms. As a kid, I would even keep on jackets in class to avoid showing my hairy arms. I now trim the hair with scissors. The shorted length makes it look like a lot less and I am not embarrassed by it anymore. Give it a shot.
I have the same issue and in high school people started howling around me and i was like wtf. Come to find out someone said i look like a wolf and i told the person that said it thank you because wolfs are beautiful creatures and i know im beautiful unlike pigs (she looked like a pig). School kids are mean and most times the ones that point out your insecurities are doing it because they are insecure about themselves and want the attention off them. Dont even stress it i use to wear sweaters alot because of people teasing but once i became more confident about it they stopped. Dont show it bothers you be confident and say so what and walk away the will e dumb founded
