My ayurvedic herb scalp pomade

I made a pomade!!! YAY me

I infused amla, brahmi, bhringraj, hibiscus and nettles in fractionated coconut oil and used jojoba esters to thicken to consistency of a pomade. The result, a really light and super penetrative scalp pomade. For strength, conditioning and hair growth (also a eucalyptus EO blend for itches)

Below are picts:

infused oil (I originally infused 8 oz of oil. I used 2 oz to make the pomade)

Congratulations!!!!

This is sooo cool.... just the other day, I was tinkering around trying to make a pomade myself, but couldn't figure out what to use to make it have that pomade consistency w/o using petroleum, lanolin or beeswax.

Jojoba esters who knew!

I think that's awesome! My scalp seems so thirsty....I think it would love something like that! I'm just getting comfortable w/ my FSG...I think I'm a ways from promade! How long do you think the shelf life is on your pomade?

Again, congrats, that's just great that it turned out!

fractionated coconut oil has an indefinite shelf life. I'm not sure if infusing it changes that.
when u use the nettles, do you just pour it in or do you boil them in water and use the water?

@ Cali Chik you can use nettles in an oil infusion. Or you can make a herbal water infusion with both marshmallow root and nettles and use that water for a hair rinse, make conditioner, a spritz, soo many options!
