weird food habits/confessions
Does anyone eat food in odd combos or not the way it was intended?
For me, I will eat certain canned soup brands/varieties cold. Not all of them taste good this way, but some I actually prefer not to heat.

I pour honey on everything--fries, steak, fruit, veggies, sometimes just on bread.
I enjoy peanut butter and bacon sandwhiches as well (with honey of course!)

I like to eat frozen products still frozen, rather than heating them up. Not everything, obviously... but frozen waffles are fantastic. So are those soft jumbo pretzels, mozzerella sticks and oddly enough lean pocket cheese pizzas lol.
I'm a weirdo, I know. I have no idea why I like these things frozen...

Does eating them frozen hurt your teeth? I'm intrigued! LOL! Just thinking that they'd be hard to actually bite pieces off and chew.

LOL! You are all silly!!!
I like to eat the bone marrow out of chicken bones. Most of my family does so its normal in my household. But I hate having outsiders over or eating somewhere else where I can't eat (suck out) the bone marrow. It really drives me crazy!!!

The rest you kind of have to gnaw at. lol, like I said I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why I like it so much... unless maybe it forces me to eat them slower? *shrug* i should probably talk to someone lol

Another bone marrow/gristle/white bone lover here.
I like canned veggies right out of the can, especially peas and green beans.

I just learned that I am the only 1 that puts salt on oranges. All my life, Ive thought that everyone ate them that way.
I also, love day old movie popcorn. I usually get a large bag with lots of butter (I like it swimming) and eat about 1/3 of the popcorn. Then I take the rest home and eat it a day or two later. At this point, its been marinating in butter and oooh its sooo Yummy.
I know these things may sound crazy, but I promise if you try it You Will Like It!

That's so insanely repulsive to me, but only because I worked at a movie theatre for 7+ years and had to clean up all those soaking with butter bags that were left on the floor. Seeing what that stuff was like after 2 hours... lol, no way could I eat it days later!

Me too! Well, corn anyway. Whole kernel corn, no heat or added anything. Yum!
Most of these are if I'm really hungry, in a hurry, etc.: - Apples and peanut butter. Strange to some.
- Just peanut butter. On a spoon.
- Peanut butter and jelly on waffles (sandwich).
- Cold pizza for breakfast or other meals (must be really good Chicago takeout pizza, and not deep dish.)
- Fries with "fry sauce" (mix mayo and ketchup to taste)
- Sandwiches with just bread and meat (i.e. ham on fresh bakery bread, no condiments). They looked at me really funny when I ordered this at Subway--so I stopped going there.
I used to like mustard on Wonder bread. Oh, and my sister used to roll up her Wonder bread into a ball, like she was going to make it into something else--then eat it plain. I don't eat prepackaged bread anymore.
I had a neighbor who put ketchup on everything--even pizza or mac and cheese, and he was about 5 years old when he started doing it.
My husband likes peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. I told him not to eat it around me, but I can still smell it on his breath if he ate it earlier in the day! Blech!
My brother used to put fries in his hamburger (i.e. from McDonald's). Now I can see the attraction of it.
It's weird how our tastes change as we get older. I like things now that I used to hate. I think when I was younger (a kid) I was afraid to try some new things, especially if they seemed weird or smelled funny to me (i.e., hummus, lasagna). Of course, to little kids, everything is something new. As an adult, I've tried a lot of things (or combos) and found I actually liked them.

Salt on apples
Black pepper on watermelon
French fries with my Frosty (you know you do it too!)
Canned pork and beans, cold from the can
One slice of soft white bread, one slice of bologna, fold over and eat.
DH likes to dip potato chips in Cool Whip for a late night snack.

I like sticky mac and cheese, the creamy stuff makes me gag. And I put ketchup on it if it's around. I like the crispy edges on those hash brown patty things, and on breaded fish. Sometimes, I take frozen blueberries and blend them with ranch dressing to put on my salad. It's delicious. =)
