sigh just got my hair cut

so i went back to my usual hair stylist after getting my hair butchered back in may. I wanted it layered a little more so it would have more of an angle. My hair was perfectly curly when I got to the hair salon and instead of cutting it curly she running a comb through it and cuts it and after my hair is a frizzy she sprays water in it to kind of revive the curls. The cut is not exactly what I wanted. It's the usual hair cut I always get but as soon as the front gets to a certain point I have to go back because she never cuts it enough and I always want more of an angle leading to the longer pieces in back. I just needed to vent.

I sympathize. I just had my hair cut yesterday and I am not happy with it either. She cut off too much so that my hair is super short and feathery. She cut all my curls off!
(sigh) I don't blame you for venting. It is frustrating.
I was searching around the board yesterday and found a thread by Struttswife on what to tell your stylist when you get your hair cut. I wish I had read it BEFORE I went to get my hair cut! You might want to search for it. There were some good tips.
As someone posted to my rant yesterday, find a way to like it until it becomes what you want. Luckily hair grows back.

I just had a nice haircut from Brenda at Amore Salon in Portland Me.
She is trained to do the Ouidad carving style haircuts, in my case she did a wet cut and used the carving technique on a few heavy areas. I feel that she truly studied my hair and I left with a cut that allows what I thought was pretty much wavy hair create some nice curls.

Oooh, thank you!! I will have to check out Amore. I had a Deva cut in Beverly, MA, but it is quite a trip from northern Maine.
I still hate my hair and I am wondering if it is worth trying to get it fixed or if I should just wait until it grows out a bit and then get it cut by someone who will pay attention to the curl pattern.
Nothing worse than a bad cut.

If you're coming from northern Maine then you and Brenda will have something talk about. She's from Houlton.
The next morning after a cut is always a test for me. I just got up and ran a dampened hand through my hair, then scrunched some AVG into it. Looks good!
If you want a Deva cut there is Diva salon in South Portland.I have gone there too, they do the dry cuts and sell the Deva products.
