Deva cut with Tiffany!!!

Well I finally had my first deva cut/consult with Tiffany Anderson! She is def the curl whisperer and is just a wealth of great information about curly hair! She gave me a great cut but the cut was 2nd to the 2 hours of information she gave me about my hair! Fine/ normal porosity and that my hair is in desperate need of protein!! She is so passionate about curly hair and it shows. I really enjoyed her and her side kick Mary Kate! Both of them have beautiful shiny curls.. I don't LOVE my hair yet but I"m on my way to embrace them!! If you have a chance to go to her it is def worth the trip! She is warm, professional and just a nice down to earth girl.. it's nice to meet a hairdresser that knows curls and "just gets it"!! Thanks Tiffany))

The two attached pics are before and after.. black is before, pink is after (after a long windy day too)

Oh BTW... I LOVE the lavender mist for second day hair that you recommended to me!!! It works awesome!!!
Your hair looks fantastic! The cut is great and it DOES make your hair look thicker. Mine is about as fine as yours, so I understand how you feel -- but fine hair is actually beautiful in it's own right -- delicate, soft, like milkweed down. Your curls look so defined and the cut looks so energetic. Enjoy!

I'm glad you had a good experience! I'm hoping to get that kind of info on my hair soon too.

I think you'll be pleased with how your curl formation will improve as you continue with curl friendly hair care. It looks like you're well on your way already.

I am blessed to have met Tiffany very early in my transition because the information she gave me has spared me a lot of time and expense chasing down products and techniques that wouldn't work. She gave me the tools to confidently wade through a lot of the misinformation that's out there, whether it's innocent or deliberate.

And what a pleasure to spend time with a stylist who's totally present and engaged in what she's doing instead of juggling several clients around.

Love your after hair - both the shape and the shine! You have such an inviting smile!

What is covered in the info session? I may be going to St. Pete next month and am thinking about getting the 2hr session with her. I'm also considering her curl wizard hair analysis. I wonder if the info would overlap. (If the hair analysis and product recs are covered in the info session, then I could better justify the expense of doing the long session at her salon.)

So glad you had that experience!

Because what I need may be different than what you need.. She will go into depth about what to use, and how to style it.. and show you EXACTLY how to do it. I hardly remember her cutting.. I would pay just for the info she gave me. I got all the products (cheap) and my daughter and I both have been using them.. and you would just not believe how much better both our hair looks!! Unbelieveable! So shiny, bouncy, and the curls last for days

Good luck
I forgot to add that she's not a product pusher and is brand neutral. She pays attention to ingredients and how they work for your hair type.

Gecko, why don't you give her a call and ask if you should still do the curlwizard if you're going to visit her salon? She's very good about returning calls and giving recommendations over the phone.

I was new to the CG method when I first visited her so she walked me through all the steps as she washed my hair. Prior to that we discussed my hair type and what to expect as I'm growing out previous keratin treatments, along with my options...transition vs big chop. She was super kind and told me I should feel free to call and vent if I had a bad hair day. When have you heard of a stylist doing that for a client they've just met?

At the end of the session she gave me a card that has printed directions of how to wash/style your hair. She wrote down which products I could try (reasonably priced and easily found) for each step. Her recommendations were specific to my needs.

She did tell me what my hair type was since that information's at the heart of how you select your products.

Hope this helps.

Wow, Tiffany and her salon sound wonderful and well worth every penny!

It looks really good... so much fuller and shinier! The shape is really nice, too.

Do you clip to keep the hair off your forehead? That is a constant struggle for me. I have a very small forehead (my hubby calls it a two-head... lol) and I hate the hair flopping down there. I clip, and use a pomade after it's dry to try and hold it back, but still on some days it flops back down into my face.

All that to say... I really like how it is off your face. :-)
