Default Fort Worth area- Salon Purple vs Norwood

I've seen ads on the side of this forum for Salon Purple, and I was all ready to make my appointment for my first curly cut, and I can't seem to find a review on here about them...I could have sworn this is the place I've read about them. I have seen reviews for Anthony at Norwood, and they all seem to be positive, so now I'm torn between which salon to go to....
anyone have experience with either of these places?

I go to Anthony, and my mother actually goes to Terry (the owner) of Salon Purple.
Anthony is great....he takes a ton of time with me, and has given a great cut everytime I've seen him. His styling is pretty good...but I don't ever expect my hair to look perfect when I leave the salon curly.
My mother swears by Terry, but he always blows her hair straight, and is MUCH more expensive from what I understand. Her hair does always look good when she's done, but like I said, she gets a straight cut and style. Anthony does the dry curly cut. I guess it just depends on what kind of cut you're looking for, and how much you want to spend. Both are good at what they do.

I was going to suggest comparing prices, assuming all other things are equal. Anthony is just about the cheapest "Nice" haircut I've ever come across.

I went to salon purple, and got Kristy. The website says $40 for a cut, and they charged me $65, and I didn't buy any product. She didn't really do what I wanted, and my layers don't look right to me, so I think next time, I might try Anthony. It's a bit of a drive, but hopefully it will be worth it.
The girl who's hair she did before me looked awesome when she walked out. Maybe it's because mine wasn't as curly as hers?

I think he'd be worth a shot. Like I said...he takes a lot of time, listening to what you want, etc.
I'm not sure how he'd do with a more "stylized" cut, since mine is pretty simple, I always just go in for a small trim, because i'm perpetually growing my hair out...and it's long....I like him because he doesn't do what most hairdressers do when they hear me say "just take 1/2" off", and they take three.

yeah I definitely didn't get a specific style with him... i think he's more likely to take a look at your curl type/face shape, etc and give you something that works for you. Honestly, my cut with him was basically what I already had with just a few inches cut off but it looked SO much better.
