I'm having a haircut with Alice today. Has anyone been to her before? I read the reviews - she sounds very good but I'm nervous. I can't afford to see Mark DiVicenzo anymore - his fee has gone up to $220!

CP your cut and stylist sound great! Do you need to use clips for root lift for styling like a Deva Cut or can you just wash gel, scrunch, diffuse and go. I imagine you can style it both ways.

The cut was very expensive $155 (groan). But the owner of the boutique I work in raved about my curls! She just had a Brazilian done and I was wondering aloud what I'd look like with that. She said "oh no - don't ever do it - you look fabulous - like Claudette Colbert with your new haircut."

I don't have to use clips. Alice just did a little blow drying upside down. There are some excellent videos on Curlisto - Curlisto System - if you want to see how they use the duck bill clips. I don't follow their step by step technique at all. It's helpful to watch but I don't have time for all that Mostly, I just scrunch and go.

How are your curls doing these days? I wish I knew how to post pictures and hope to see some of yours.

CP your cut sounds amazing and it is less expensive than Mark D's cut. Do you use the same products as before or Curlisto products? My hair is doing pretty well but I always like to try a new hairstylist every now and then for a change.
