Moving - Need a stylist in Central Florida!
I'm going to miss quite a few things about Alabama, but most of all - I'm going to miss my stylist. Yeah, I'll miss my mom too. 8-) My current stylist, Barbara, has been cutting my hair since I was twelve years old!!! I'm thirty now. You can only imagine the anxiety I'm feeling! I found the curly stylist finder on DevaCurl, but I'm hoping to find someone who actually lives in the Central Florida area, and can recommend a stylist to me. I'll be working in downtown Orlando, but living in Polk County. (Ugh! Commute!!!)
I'm getting a hair cut a few weeks before my wedding - that's when I'll be moving to Florida. If I can't find a suitable stylist that I'm comfortable with I'm afraid I'll fly back to Birmingham just to get my hair cut!!!! OMG am I crazy??? |
I just scheduled an appointment with Jennifer Kenny aka The Curl Girl at Tranzitions Salon in Tampa. She has AMAZING reviews and a great blog too. Check out the CG reviews here:

You can also check out Live Curly, Live Free salon. Tiffany Anderson aka, the curl whisperer is awesome. She's in Gulfport but its worth the drive.

Thank you both! Those are great options. The drive would only be about 1.5 hrs.

And definitely better than flying to Alabama!

I live in Orlando and drive to St. Pete to Cynthia Cheslock. She has been doing my hair for 6 years. She is at SalonLofts and was just featured in an article in the Tampa Tribune if you want to google her you can find it. She does a really nice job and is worth the drive. I also know Danielle is in Oviedo, you can find her in the salon section. I have never been to her just heard good things about her.

Hi,
I just had my hair cut deva method, in Winter Park at a salon call Primp. Angela is deva certified. I found her off this site from salon finders. She is highly rated. It was my first deva cut, and as I am a new recruit, she was very informative. Winter Park would be a quick commute from downtown. |
I go to Cynthia too. She is awesome! I drive about an hour to see her.
