If you live in Gainesville, Florida and want a great curly hair stylist, see Raquel at Salon Vogue. Their address is under CurlSalons. She has a full head of curly hair herself, and understands the curls and how to work with them. She's awesome, prices are very reasonable, your in and out. You will be happy with your hair. I have 3B hair, i pretty much know what products to use, how to do my hair, i just needed someone who could give me a great cut. I got my hair cut on 9/23/09, luv! her!

It's been a couple years but I thought I would follow up. Raquel cuts hair wet. I got my hair cut by her a few times but was never thrilled with the results. Raquel didn't really talk to me about what she was doing or how I should be taking care of my hair. My hair always looked alright after her cuts but that's about it. Maybe Raquel does better with curlier hair, but I wasn' t happy with her work on my 2b hair. I went to another stylist at another salon last year and was always excited with the results.

Hi. Have to chime in. A friend of mine went to Raquel in Gainesville and loved her. But Raquel left town and moved to St Pete in April.

My friend and I have both given Debra at Salon Savoy a try. She is a good listener and isn't scissor happy.

The stylist I was very happy with, Tiffany at Mia & Maxx, left them in April too. I don't know if she's still in town or not. I've got an appointment with Debra at Salon Savoy and I'll definitely report back how that goes.
