Default Fave Salons in Boston?

Hi curly friends! I'm back from Florida and my hair is very much appreciating the escape from the hard water and humidity. I just got back from what will probably be my last visit to my usual stylist here in Maryland. I'm heading back up to Boston next week likely for a long time.

So I would like to ask all of you Boston based curlies, where do you like to get your hair cut in Boston? I'm nervous about trying to find a new stylist, but I'm sure your recommendations will be helpful.

I really like Derek at Liquid in the South End. He will do awet cut, but it's great.

I still use sulfate-free poos (I'm madly in love with the Bodyshop's rainforest moisture) and silicone free conditioners.

Thanks for the recommendation, Hedy, I'll look into it. My current stylist does a wet cut, too, so I don't mind that too much.

If anyone else has a favorite stylist or salon in Boston please chime in!

LOVE Derek! Just got my hair cut with him about a month ago. He really listens to what you want and knows exactly what you need.

P.S go on a Friday night! It's such a fun atmosphere.

I just wanted to let my Boston girls know that Derek is now at Pure in the South End.

I don't know how helpful this is, but when I lived in Boston (way before I was CG but I always wore my hair curly) I went to Delaria's in Kenmore square (yes I did my undergrad at BU!) I had 2 different stylists over a period of about 5 years and they both did a really great job. I know that's not specific, but If you're desperate, it's worth a look.

I highly recommend Lily at Station 8 in J.P. She's a curly herself and is a really gifted stylist. She can cut all styles. She looks like a rocker chick but I'm old enough to be her mother and I'm very happy with her cuts. She gets it. She also cuts my daughters' hair and they're in their 20s.
