BEST hair cuts in Toronto..in my humble opinion..

I hope this helps out some other curly girls in Toronto...
I was lucky enough to track down Nicole (formerly of the Curl Ambassadors) thanks to another poster on nc.com and just wanted to pass along the info for other curlies missing their cuts with her.
I just went for my second cut and colour with Nicole since she moved to Sears Hair Studio at Sherway Gardens and it was fantastic as ever. I really haven't ever had anyone cut my hair as well as she does. She really gets my hair and what I like, and actually listens when I say I want to keep the length!
I also really appreciate not having to spend $70 per haircut like I used to. Much as I like the atmosphere of Chiggy's Touch and Curl Ambassadors, I like knowing that when I go to Nicole, my hair is guaranteed to look great when I leave and I'm not going to have to live on Mr Noodles for the rest of the week.

Thanks for the info...I have been searching for someone to give a cut that will look great curly AND straight. What is your hair type? Does she cut hair when its curly or straight?

I've read reviews about her in the salon review section and I'm really curious.

I never really got the hang of the curl type thing, but I'd say my hair is about a 3a. I don't ever wear my hair straight so I'm not much help there but I've seen Nicole style hers both straight and wavy so I'm sure she'd be able to give you a cut to suit both.
As far as the actual cut goes, she gives me a wet cut and then blow dries and does a dry cut.
I'd definitely give her a try. To be honest, the cut is around $30 so it's not like you're dropping a huge chunk of cash like at other curly salons. She's definitely worth checking out. I definitely don't see myself ever going to anyone else.

I'm going to chime in here as I have had my hair cut by Nicole and other curly stylists in Toronto.
Nicole was good but Patience at Chiggy's touch is far superior.Yes, it does cost more at Chiggy's but it is a quality cut that lasts me months(3-4). She gives a great shape and I think that is the secret. Nicole also did wet and dry and I still had to back to even it out then a month later for a cut,so I ended up paying more going twicethis happened twice, she never really got the shape right.
Patience has an interesting technique, she does'nt just chop around the bottom but right into the hair so that you can see the curl spring right out of a wave.

lol and I would say the complete opposite, having had my hair cut by Patience and Nicole (and Angela...Karlene...oh my!). I thought Patience was good, but I felt a little triangular afterwards.
I guess it's to each their own! Good thing there's lots of choice in TO

^You are right champagne curls.
Unfortunately, sometimes you have to shop around and experiment to find the right stylist but a least we do have a choice in Toronto.
BTW I have wavy curly(there is a few pics of me somewhere here) hair.
