I have to say that after 6years in the game Giovanni Direct Leave-In and Elucence have given me the most consistent results of all conditioners. I have medium-coarse, super thick, crazy coily hair.

ITA with KIM. In the morning you can also re-wet your hair before unraveling or unravel and then re-wet (spritz with water bottle). Either way, it should help with loosening the "packy hair".
