4b hair is more wavy when stretched than it is curly. it won't turn into the texture of 3b/c hair. i texturized for a while and it was the pits. i wound up wearing my hair in mostly straight styles...

i usually put in cornrows, and re-do them two or three times. every time your hair will stretch more and more reducing the amount of heat you'll need to use. it works like a charm. i never blow-dry...
