You could try it on a small section in the back of your hair first to see how it goes. I get the best results when I do that protein treatment then I do a deep conditioner right after.

thanks for the advice. Brushing makes my curls really puff up when It dries. I dont like it. Its better for me to finger comb and smooth with my hands to get smooth spiral clumps

I had the same issue

I had the same issue with straight ends. I now do a twistout and put a small curler at the end and let dry. Over time my ends remembered how to curl and did it on its own.

I have a big container of eco styler I got on sale. I only use it sparingly and at this rate I'll have it for 10 years...so I'm excited to try to mix in some oils to get a pudding.

There is no telling if cutting your hair on the other side will yield similar results. I would opt to leave it as it is and enjoy. Sleep in it a few nights and if it still bugs you..go for it. But...

Sounds like you are transitioning..so some hair is still straight from heat damage and some might be straight because that is the natural texture of your hair. You also have tighter curls in the back...

all of a sudden I noticed the same issue...no conditioner helps. I found PS One Conditioner helped but I'm not out of the woods yet. I'll need to check the ingredients on the products I used recently...
