It doesn't completely straighten it, no. What makes it straighten much more easily is contact with heat, but if you just let it air dry there will still be waves :)

Yup definitely true for me. I have a very curvy bottom, (thighs and a big booty) but a defined small waist. I've had a guy take a strand of my hair and say "wow even your hair is curvy".
