You know what, I have this exact same problem...

You know what, I have this exact same problem with the hair up front and with my canopy. The only thing that has worked well is getting my canopy sopping wet, scrunch in Kinky Curly Curling custard...

@KinkyKeeper...my thought is that the oil keeps the hair lubricated enough to keep the knots from forming. Seems like a slippery strand of hair would be less likely to knot than a dry strand of hair.
