Yeah, I have problems with sulfates too... Just too harsh on my scalp and hair. I only use one when I absolutely have to in order to clarify or because I'm travelling and forgot something.

Ditch the protein for awhile, do some deep conditioner treatments, and ditch the SLS shampoo. Ditching sulfates has been the single best thing I ever did for my hair.

It's strong enough to perk waves up a tad, but not nearly as strong as the homemade gelatin PT is. I use the spray a few times per week and do the gelatin PT once every couple of months.
