No, I only co-washed and then used the Aphogee balancing conditioner. I don't have a DT (maybe I should try a homemade one?) right now and thought that would be sufficient.

Usually people with coarser hair can develop protein issues easily because their hair originally has protein built in, so it doesn't need much protein unless it is damaged.
