Occasionally I'll comb my hair in the shower (with conditioner in), if it feels particularly tangly. I hardly ever do that, though I had to more often when my hair used to be much longer.

I used to always put the gel in last, but at my last haircut was told to put the creme in last, and it looked great that way. So that's what I do now, but I find that it really depends on the product.
