After finding your website I went completely CG in Sept. 2008. Finally wanted to say howdy and thanks!
I learned about CG just after ordering a new flat iron. I returned it and have not used one hot tool since.
As to hair type, I'm more of a wavy than a curly but have a good amount of wave. I've seen hair type descriptions based on either type of curl or texture so am not sure if I should call myself a 2b or 2c. Based on the curl, then I'm a 2c; texture is more 2b (average thickness, moderately fine). For many years I had some pieces of this hair puzzle but some really important stuff was missing. I had a very curly-haired stylist who insisted I look for products WITH cones. It always looked fine when she did it but of course with time my hair just became a frizzy mess.
Now I get compliments and people sometimes say they wish they had hair like mine! But I'm still working on having fewer bad hair days and on the frizz control. Here in Southern California you can change climates in a matter of minutes, from morning fog at the beach to inland dry heat. It gets complicated -- and then there's dew points, etc. I haven't found the perfect solution yet but now I try to just "go with the curl."
