Default For those that use the Curl Like Us towels

Did you buy 1 or the set or the 4 special? And how many do you really think you need? I use a lot of product and my towels get hard pretty fast.

I bought a set of two, and that seems to work well for me. I need about a towel and a half each time, but my hair is pretty long when it's wet.

I wash them (and then air dry it because I use a dryer sheet) once a week or so, and that seems to work well for me.

ETA: To clarify, I wet my hair every day; I wash the towels once a week.

I only have two, the special must be new. I use one for a week and it gets washed on Sunday and rotated. I don't have a lot of hair,so the one is fine. I air dry, too, because that's what the instructions said to do. Didn't remember it was because of the dryer sheet.

I only have one (split it with another poster on here) and it does just fine. Occasionally if I'm using a lot of product i have to use a tshirt in addition to it, but it really is enough of a towel for me i think.

I dry mine in the dryer, with no dryer sheet. If memory serves, the instructions said that was fine as long as you didn't use fabric softener...

I got the set of 2, they started doing that 1/2 off promotion about a week after I got it. I probably would have gotten the 4 if it had been there :P

The 2 work fine for me though. I did, unfortunately, dry with a dryer sheet and would definitely recommend NOT doing that. I've been washing and drying without one now, and the absorbency is getting better again.

Thanks for the dryer sheet/fabric softener advice. Lucky for me I use dryer balls since BF has crazy sensitive skin and can't tolerate scented stuff. I'm pretty excited and glad I got the 4. I'll probably need 2 with all my hair and it'll be nice to have enough to rotate out.

I only use one at a time but love these towels. They really help with frizz, dry quickly and look great in the bathroom. I would have bought two sets if they were running the special when I purchased mine. They are my favorite of all the towel choices.

I think my deva salon carries these. I saw them when I got my hair cut last week. Maybe next time I'm back home I'll pop in and pick one up. I'd be nice to save a little on shipping and support my favorite salon in the entire world at the same time!

I bought all four of them, but I probably only needed one. I'm on my second towel now and probably used the first one four or five times. I guess I'll throw all of them in the wash at the same time, because I don't co-wash every day and can afford a day to wash and dry.

I was considering getting some of these until I went to the site to check out the "special"--$36 for four towels?!?

I have four flour sack towels that cost a whopping $8, and they seem a lot bigger than the CLU cloths. Are these really that great? I've been contemplating a Curl-ease as well after the sale/discount code at Aziza... but how many towels do I need?

Decisions, decisions...

The CLU cloths are well worth it. Having flour sacks, curlease and CLU--I'd buy the CLU without hesitation. They are worth every penny.

Oh, kathymack, you enabler. I guess I should just pass on the Curl-ease since my huge flour sacks are fine for plopping.

Now to convince my husband why I need to spend $36 on towels for my hair. Um... plus $7.95 shipping.

Yeah, there is something about them. That cloth is not a normal T-shirt weight.

Being the team player I am, I restyled my hair last night. Used the curlease to scrunch the water. I will report that the frizz was negligible, but the towel was soaked! I can use one CLU towel and get the same results, but the towel isn't soaked. I know the original post was about frizz--but given the same result. If you want the water wicking properties--go with the CLU.

That'd be me.

I wash mine on cold, no fabric softener & I air-dry it.

Question

For those that have used an Aquis towel (flat, not waffle), how does it compare to the CLU? It looks interesting, but I already have 2 Aquis! I'm happy with how they work, but then I haven't tried anything else in 15 years!

I gave my curly son my Italian floursack-like waffled hand towel to use on his short hair. I wonder if he'd go for a CLU in blue or green? Are they too girly (ruffly)? Would he need one for such short hair?

Last summer the Aquis micro fiber towels gave me a lot of frizz. I think these wick away a lot more water and don't give me the frizz. I can't imagine you wouldn't like them.
