Default Curl Towels?

Hello All,
I believe my hair is a 3A, with some 3B. I want to know if any of you have tried these curly hair towels, such as Curl-Ease or the microfiber turbon ect, both sold in Curlmart. Does any one have any advise or suggestions on the best one?

I have the microfiber towel from jessicurl which I love. The curlease towel was too thin for me. Do you plop with it? If you do then the microfiber one is best, I think. I've used it for over a year. Hope this helps.

I'm just the opposite - I much prefer a Curlease, a cotton dish towel, e.g, flour sack, or a cotton t-shirt to any microfiber towel, and I have two including the Jessicurl. I only like them for scrunching, not plopping. I only use for scrunching because I have them - I won't repurchase when they're worn out.

I'm a 2C to 3B, but mostly 3A.

Thanks for the responces, I am just learning to care for my hair, so I have just started plopping within the last few days. I am really not sure if I see a difference in my hair or not, I have been using a hanes T-shirt like my stylist told me to. I might not even be doing things correctly. I take a shower and wash or don't wash my hair at night, then sleep in a satin cap, normally when I get up in the morning, I just have to re-wet my hair to try and fix it before I go to work. My hair is really, really thin, but based on my daily routine, is there a towel that you think would work better than the other?

I might just buy both of them and try them out. There are just so many things to choose from, it makes my head spin.

I'm not crazy about the microfiber towels; I tend to get more frizz with them. I'm loving the Curls Like Us towels for scrunching out excess moisture and the Curlease is perfect for plopping.

I can see how microfiber can cause frizz. My hands get rough sometimes so they catch on the microfibers; it feels kind of gross. I am trying to decide on the Curlease towel or the Curls Like Us towels.....are they just a cotton type fabric?.... I don't like the white but I do not like the brown either....

Well I ordered a Curl Ease towell from Bed, Bath, and Beyond this weekend, so I will let you all know if it dries as well as advertised. My hair is very thin, so I don't think there will be too much of a problem. I currently use a T-shirt for drying and it works well, but I don't think it sets the curls like this towel is advertised to do.

I think that the Curls Like Us towel is advertised for scrunching, the Curl-Ease is for drying, I am going to try both.

I love the Curl Ease towel for plopping (it is just the right size and it's texture, super smooth, doesn't cause frizz). However, it isn't terrific at absorption. I usually scrunch first in a microfiber, but I've been noticing frizz lately which I didn't have before. That could be caused by the microfiber towel-it's not a great one, I bought it at Ulta. I'm thinking about trying the one from Jessi-curl. Does it cause frizz?

Currently using Deva Care low-poo, Deva Care no-poo, Deva One condition mixed half and half with honey, Deva B'Leave In, and Arc Angell. Scrunch with a micro fiber towel, then plop with my Curl-ease towel (love that thing for 20 minutes.

I got a lot of frizz, last summer, form the Aquis microfiber towel. Curlease is good, but Curls like Us is the best. I don't plop, so I scrunch out the water, diffuse for a few minutes and air dry the rest of the way.

The Jessicurl mf towel causes me less frizz than the white one I got from Ulta, but I get even less with a cotton t-shirt or something for scrunching. The Jessicurl towel is slightly larger than the Ulta towel and is of better quality. The Ulta towel catches on any bit of roughness on my hands or nails, the Jessicurl not so much.

i have 2 mf towels--one that feels kinda fuzzy and my dry skin catches on--it causes frizz and i threw it away; the other is very thin and flat, and it belongs to my dogs: called "Doggie Dryer Towel" and it's a perfect rectangle size for plopping and scrunching--i never get frizz from it. (google it, find it easy!)

I've been experimenting with different towels for a while. Any microfiber towel I've tried ends up leaving too much frizz. I've had a lot of luck in the past using T-shirts, so the Curls Like Us towel seemed like a good way to go. Even though the package comes with two towels, I didn't find one big enough for plopping. I have long, thick, coarse 3b/c hair, and it takes up a lot of space when it's all piled on my head! The material is nice (like a t-shirt but a bit thicker), so I went to my local fabric store and searched for something similar. I found something that felt almost exactly the same, and I was able to pick out both the color and size I wanted. I purchased a yard and a half in a bright purple. I was feeling fancy, so I hemmed the edges on my machine. I used it for a while before I did that though, and the edges never started raveling. Anyway, now I have two big towels that I can easily use to plop, twist, and tie on my head, and I only spent $6.00 for both. In my experience, they work better than anything else I've tried.

Well I ordered the Curl-Ease towel and received it, I have been using it for a few weeks now. It does not seem to cause frizz at all, but I am not sure about how well it's drying my hair. My hair is super thin, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I find I have to shake my hair out some after wearing it to seperate some of the curls that are so clumped together. Maybe I need more practice learning how to use it, I am going to keep working with it.
By the way, here is an updated picture of my hair. You can see how bad it has been butcher and it looks even thinner than it used to because the short layers the woman put in it. Trying to grow it out now. It looks so pittiful, it's embarrasing.

A little piece of unsolicited advice. My hair has really thinned out due to thyroid, medication and age. When you wear your hair longer--it makes it look thinner. If you go through some of the pictures on my fotki, you'll see the clearly see the difference between your current length and how I wear it now. I also think the products I use help a lot, especially since I stopped cowashing and started to use the natural soap bars to cleanse. They tightened my curls and increased volume.

Thanks for the info.I am hoping once I grow some of these layers out and get it shaped correctly it will start to look better I have a ways to go, but I honestly do not want to keep my hair short. I will continue to post pictures of my progress.

Right. This is the way i think. Does anyone know if a microfiber towel would be good for drying out the body?

I don't see why it wouldn't. I use my discarded (as hair towels) MF towels as handtowels; they absorb the water faster and after mutiple hand washings per day, it's not like a regular towel where you have to search for a dry spot.
