Default PJ Pact - no purchases for 30 days!

Ok, I'm BROKE. Really broke. And I keep being tempted to spend money on hair products. And that's BAD.

Who here wants to make a pact. We will not buy ANY new products for 30 days. We are ONLY permitted to replace products of which we've run out. We can use the swap board to SWAP but not to buy.

Who's in? We can start...TOMORROW!

I hear ya! I'll go in on that pact with you. Lucky for me (or rather, my bank account), I was outbid on ebay today for KCCC. I guess you could call it a blessing in disguise.

Let me get this clear in my head, starting tomorrow right? So that means this evening...........I don't need more product, I don't need more product, I don't need more product, I........don't.......need.......more........produc t!!

Gee, notice how all those PJ's out there aren't exactly tripping over themselves to sign up for this pact. Come on, ya bunch of commitment phobes!

I've been trying to be really, really good lately and just experiment with what I already have. I need to save my money for gas.

Ok...deep breath....I'm in!

I don't know how bad of a PJ I really am, but I'm in. As long as I can replace conditioner that's gone, lol.

Yup - I'll need to replace conditioner at some point in the next few weeks. Totally permissible.

Good thing I got the BRHG today after work so I can say... I'm in. Boy it's going to be a long 30 days but I really need to use up some products so this should be good.

I'm in too - I need to stop spending money on beauty products!!! Whole Foods will kill my budget someday if I let it.

I think I can make it 30 days without even replacements because I just got a 32-ounce bottle of 365 conditioner and an 8-ounce bottle of apricot kernel oil, and that's all my hair really needs, despite what I might think as I'm browsing the personal care aisle at Whole Foods! so I should be set for at least 30 days without buying any products at all.

OK, I'm in.

Time for some self-discipline! Gas is KILLING us too between my commute and my husband's business.

I am trying to look at the bright side, maybe it will be kind of fun to revisit some oldies but goodies.

Of course, if we have a successful 30 days, I think we will all deserve some completely fabulous reward!

I just got some Biotera leave-in. I'd be happy to send you a sample if you'd like to try it (and haven't already).

So like, if we are running out of conditioner, is it OK to try a new conditioner? Only conditioner we have used at some time in the past? Only the very same conditioner that just ran out?

I'm not big on strict rules. This was really just an idea and I'm hoping to get some support in NOT succumbing to my PJ for 30 days.

I think it'd be fine to replace it with something new - but plan on sticking with that one through the end of 30 days.

Lol you have bottles of conditioner that last 30 days?

I'm not worried about having to abandon one and find a new one or anything. I basically never met conditioner I didn't like, unless I'm avoiding it because of cones. I used up all conditioner I have bought since starting CG, the only dusty one sitting here is Pantene.

Yeah - I do. My hair doesn't demand too much in the way of moisture (TJ Refresh which is a VERY light conditioner has been getting me borderline overconditioned lately!) as I don't dye it, rarely heat style, and am just blessed with pretty healthy hair.

Haha, not so lucky! I'm doing pretty well if Suave sticks around a week. Good thing it's a buck.

(But also hennaing is a big culprit. I have to co-wash about 5 or 6 times to get that out, and that's the better part of a bottle.)

It's not my HG but it works adequately when I am too cheap/lazy to go to Whole Foods.
