Hair+child abuse
So these videos have been floating around many hair care sites today. But I want even more people to see it, the more people who report it and show it around, the better chance we have to take this slime sorry excuse for a mother down. Somebody knows who she is. Me and my mom just got done crying over this. I hugged her and thanked her for not being evil and full of hate towards me. Sadly, this little girl can say no such thing about her mother. Let the authorities know you care. I posted this in the non-hair section just becuase it's not only about hair.
So basically **If you are senstive to children do not watch this. This will piss you off!!**
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!
I feel sooooo sorry for this poor poor child. It makes me angry that this mother is doing this to her childs head. The baby is sreaming/crying and the mother just snapping that raggedy brush through dry natural hair. This is borderline child hair abuse at its finest! She even gets on top of the child on the floor and holds her to the ground and rips her hair out and curses at her and calls her "nappy headed"! OMG! The baby tells her mother "I HATE YOU"!! *cries to myself*
This is why children grow up thinking they have "bad hair" cause they mama's don't know the proper way to take care of it! If she only knew all she needed was some conditioner and a nice wide tooth comb! OMG!!

Yea, the same for me. OMG! This has me in tears. Who knows how many times she has done this to this poor little girl. I'm definitely reporting it.

Well that was just ignorant. Does it really take all that to comb some hair? No, it doesn't. The mother wasn't even try to make a style or anything...she was just raking and pulling dry hair for I don't know what reason because we all know it won't straighten at all. Just trifling and dumb.

Now why would anyone post a video of something like that? Cursing your kids and pulling their hair out by the roots? What was this for?

Well that's the even sicker part. They thought this was funny, so they posted it to youtube under the heading "Nappy Ass Hair" and labeled it comedy and thought they would get people laughing. You can hear the sister in the background laughing the whole time.
Actually it looks like somebody else has taken it upon themselves to repost it to youtube. Or at least the first video.

What a sadistic mother. The way she was brushing it, all wild in all directions, she was just making more knots. And she just kept doing it over and over and over in the same spots. That poor little girl. Her head must hurt so badly. I wish I could rescue her.

This is horrible.
I saw it yesterday and couldn't stop crying.  I hope the family or friends of the child recognize her and call protective services on her behalf. That child didn't deserve that.
She wasn't even styling her hair. Just brushing it over and over and cursing that child. I think the person who recorded it should be held responsible too. How can you sit by and watch that happening and think it's funny?!?!?!  |

Well the original video was posted on Youtube, I don't know if you can track something from Youtube. These videos were just from someone who thought to save the videos so you wouldn't get the IP address of the abuser. But there are a lot of detectives out there, they have already found this woman's myspace page. She lives somewhere in Detroit.

Yeah...screaming kids crying themselves into hiccups is a real laugh-o-rama.
It also saddens me how many AA people do not know basics in caring for their hair. My mom always comb my hair dry too. She kept in in a perpetual state of twists and braids so it didn't tangle or mat as bad and the little girl in the video but it still hurt.
I remember in middle school it was my straight-hair white friends giving me the most helpful tips to detangle - keeping it loaded with conditioner and combing it wet, using a wide tooth comb, starting from the bottom and not the top.
It's getting better with sites like this one spreading the curly basics gospel. |

The person video taping and the woman doing this to this child need some serious help.
