Yep! She's pretty much my go-to inspiration model. I love her hair, and hope to have the same too - in about 6 to 8 years.
I'm a prayer too .

It's gorgeous, and so is she!
My whole life, until I saw that picture, I thought Sydney Poitier was a man. My SO laughs at me because I have a huge lack of pop culture knowledge. Guess he's right!

Sydney Poitier is a man! He is also a woman!
They are father and daughter.
Beautiful hair!

Ugh. How confusing. When I meet someone for the first time and they've seen my name on paper they say, "OH! I was expecting a man!"...
She does have beautiful hair though.

Oh, yes you are correct! I didn't notice that when I was checking Wikipedia to confirm my fuzzy memory.

I didn't realize that her father and she had the same name. I knew the thread was about her before I opened it, but I thought the title was a typo. LOL

I'll have that hair one day!
To the people who've seen that movie, remember when she was dancing and was flipping her hair? Best hair porn ever

Sidney Poitier is an incredibly handsome man & a wonderful actor who made a number of important movies. I never heard of his daughter before this thread!

Me neither!! I thought this was about Sidney Poitier who my mother was in love with when she was younger. What movie is it that everyone is talking about...no one mentioned the title.

It's called Death Proof, part of Quentin Taratino's Double Feature. It's great!

I loved that part of the movie! haha. I just stared at her hair the whole time they were in that bar. I don't know if I could handle having that much hair though...
