Default Show us your Flexi-8 pics!

I would love to see some pics of people's hair with the Flexi-8's and how everyone's using them; the different sizes and styles, etc. I'm going to buy one, they are so pretty, but not sure what size I want. I need to spend a lot more time on their site lol....Anyway, anybody have any pics they want to share?

Great idea!

I too would like to see some pics of Flexi 8 styles.
I have 4 of them. Got a XL and L recently from the swap board (great deal!) and also have a Med and Small I got at the indoor flea market down here. (A bit cheaper than their on-line price)

As you probably know they are having a special now.
They are well made and easy to use.
You will really love em.

I love Flexi-8s!! Here's some pics where I've used 3 different sizes. They do hold quite a bit of hair and I found you can get away with a smaller size than you think you might:

Medium size:

http://public.fotki.com/msgiblet/200...cn0835-vi.html

Small size:

http://public.fotki.com/msgiblet/200...modified3.html

Mini size:

http://public.fotki.com/msgiblet/200...001flexi8.html

http://public.fotki.com/msgiblet/200...002flexi8.html

I've just got a couple of "extra small" that I haven't tried yet. I think for my hair right now they might work well for pulling the sides back.

I'm limited to a half-up and the occasional bun with mine. I can't get the hang of doing a french twist, grrr!

Piccy of half-up in Fokti.

Thanks everyone -- I know I will really love them! This gives me a better idea as to what size I think I need too -- I'm thinking medium, but a small would work too probably. I may just get a medium for now (or small) and then go from there. Love the pics, everyone's hair looks gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the pics!

Did I mention that these are some of my favorite hairtoys? So comfortable and they don't slip out (in the right size). Speaking of right size, if these pics are too big and knock your eyes out, please let me know and I will reduce them more.

Large holding bun.

XS holding a half-up.

Seriously, I think they are good value compared with a lot of hair accessories - and they've lasted well. I just wish we could get them in the UK but the company told me last year they weren't going to expand to over here.

Those are all so beautiful! I am thinking about getting the one on the site that has a little hummingbird on it -- either that one or the celtic knot one. Ah, they are all so pretty!!

They are??? What is the special?

I have two, and I also love them, but I have 2 complaints. First, I have a gold one and it's become a bit tarnished looking. Doesn't stop me from using it though! Second, I have a silver one with a little fairy on it, and because I'm left handed, I usually hold my hair with my right hand while a put a barrette, clip, etc. in with my left hand. Well, when I use my left hand, the fairy is upside-down! So I have to use my right hand and it's awkward for me. So, if you're left handed, get a symmetrical one

You should call or e-mail them and explain your situation. They have wonderful customer service! I bet they would convert your fairy clip for you to make it lefty-friendly; they wouldn't want you thinking twice about using it and loving it. They might even exchange a new lefty for your current righty. Seriously. Try contacting them!

Thanks guys for taking the time to post these! I have been staring at these for a long time. The only reason I haven't hit order (like a dozen times) is that I can't decide if the mini would be too small. From seeing MsG pics, I bet they wouldn't. I bet I could even do a half up with the mini lol. And if I can't use the mini for a half up, obviously there is a dozen other things I can do with it.

Curls2grow-- I think this is the first pic I've seen of your hair and I LOVE IT!!!! I love your curls and your color. it's just so classy looking!

Thanks goobernut!

Just my experience, but the mini's did not work well for me at all. I sold or swapped the couple that I got starting out. First, I will say that I have small hands and short fingers, so I don't know if that should have worked to my advantage with the mini's, or if it worked against me. I had a very hard time manipulating my hair and the mini with positioning the bar/arm of the clip. I struggled with getting my hair in the clip for several minutes and I still couldn't get it to work (versus an XS takes me maybe 5 seconds). And I have thin/fine hair to boot, so I figured for my little sprig of hair in a half-up it would be perfect. (You can sort of see my hair bend over the bar of the XS Flexi in my half-up; like a said, not a lot of hair there. Still, I didn't mind the look enough to prevent me from buying several XS clips. )

The good thing about trying the Flexi-8s in any size is that if you don't like them, there are definitely takers for purchase or swap here and on other hair boards.
