Default Hair Twins..

Trying to find a hair twin.. because this trial and error thing is not going well with my mom..

It's about 3b-3c on the top layers.. and 3c-4a ringlets on the bottom.. my hair grows in odd layers so yeah...
Some of my hair retains moisture better than other areas, and my hair thickness (relative to strand) is fine at the nape and around the ears, and normal-coarse everywhere else.
It hates pure oil and just lets it sit on top of my hair, but loves GF Triple Nutrition which contains mostly oil. The honey has not worked that well, so I'm probably going to look for a new DT. And I'm pretty sure it's about normal porosity.

Hair Type: 3b-3c curls/waves on surface, 3c-4a spirals underneath.. thick. Normal porosity (I think) and normal-coarse texture.
Current length: A little above shoulder length, give or take some on areas; layered.
Goal: To have long healthy curly hair

Co-wash: Suave Coconut Condish
Conditioner: Garnier Fructise Fortifying Triple Nutrition Cream Condish
Gel (if used): Garnier Fructise Spray Gel
DT: Playing with some kind of honey mixture..

trial & error isn't going well with my mom either..
I can't remember all the types of hair, so I'll just tell you how mine is..

On the top layer, its a bit frizzy sometimes, but it has the "S" pattern, and sometimes it's ringlets.
I don't have any root-curls
The bottom layers are all ringlets.
The back of my hairr- the top layer isn't ringlet-ty, it's more... frizzy. The bottom layer is all ringlets, tight and bigg.
The sides of my head are all ringlets, except for the frizzy top, of course..

But most of the time, I can fix the frizzy top layer.

Ohh, and it's lenge is.. well, resting on my shoulders, I guess.

Wow, I hope it isn't toooo confusing. Hope it helps (:

Mm.. your hair texture is looser than mine, but welcome to NC; I think I saw your intro post a little while ago. My hair, if curlies are already enigmas in society, is an alien.

It like flattens itself out at the top, then goes to waves, then goes to tighter curls.. I'm mostly 3c, even though I'm really not big on hair types.. with a bit of 3b and 4a here and there..

I was having a great hair day today! I got a compliment from this girl that sits in front of me in math class. My curls were springy awesomeness! Lol.
And yeah, my hair hates pure oil. It always just sits there and makes it frizzy when it dries. My hair is not protein sensitive, and is ranging from coarse-normal (fine in a few select areas). But to get the oils in there, I use GF Triple Nutrition, it really helped.
I really need to change my siggie though, my mom got the wrong bottle last week so now I'm stuck with Sleek and Shine; it may have similar ingredients but it is sooo not the same.
luven my curls, your hair does seem similar, lol. Some parts of my hair are dryer than others. Do you have pics so I can see some of your hair?

I BCed and so here I am. I've been completely natural since the day after school ended (bced the very next day). And yeah, my roots are so flat! I used SSM, and icequeen and so far, nothing. Maybe I'll try it upside down, but I usually get bad tangles that way...
It looks so dead on the top!
