Help I might have messed up daughter hair!!

Hello! I have a 4 year old. I decided that because of a bald spot that I would need to get her hair trimmed. So I read the reviews on her about a womed named Theresa and took her there. My daughter has 3c/4a hair. The women trimmed to much off in the front because its noticeable short and put conditioner and moose in that changed her hair. Now I have been struggling for a while with her hair. Any suggestions because I thought that after washing her hair it would be fine but its still not the same. Its courser and more kinky less curl and soft.

I think that they just cut off the remainder of her "baby" textured hair. At 4yrs old, her hair texture is still transitioning into her adult texture. Don't worry about it.... just deep condition.

Ok. Does anybody have any advise on whether I should try the leave in conditioner method? I feel like everything I do messes her hair up.

leave- ins are GREAT... they are a must have. Keep her hair moisturized at ALL times.

I think everyone here is eager to help. The more information we have, the better the advice will be. What do you mean by "everything I do messes up her hair"? What have you tried, and what happens to her hair, since the haircut?

Her oldest hair, or baby hair, was what was cut off. Texture changes considerably through the first few years of a child's life. This will be a re-adjustment period for you as you figure out what works on your daughter's hair now. A daily application of a hair milk, or hair lotion, or leave-in conditioner, or moisturizing styling product is a great first step. There is a world of wonderful, natural products out there. Let us know if you want suggestions.

Transitioning from the baby hair can be difficult... just when you think you got a routine down. You'll make it. You're already ahead of the game by asking.
