Default Need Product Advice! Please help!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to NC.com and I'll be known as "SicilyCurl." To get to the point.....I need some serious help. After going through dozens of products and loads of money, I've concluded that my 3a/3b hair seems to hate dimethicone, protein, glycerin (frizzy and dry) and caster oil (greasy and dry). I'm looking for a light liquid gel that doesn't contain any of these things. Do you have any recommendations? My hair is 3a in the front and 3b in the back and it gets easily weighed down, which is why I tend to avoid styling cremes and thick gels. So I seem to do better with clear, light liquid gels. Right now I'm using Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt. It's okay, but it drys very crunchy and I get build up.
Can anyone help me find a light liquid gel without dimethicone (it can be peg-modified though), protein, glycerin and caster oil? I tried Batia & Aleeze gel this weekend and my hair initially looked fabulous, but it's beginning to feel course and wiry from the protein. I need help! Any suggestions?

Give flax seed gel a try! It's got light hold and doesn't dry out the hair like some styling gels. Lots of different hair types use it successfully. Do a search on the boards and you'll find easy instructions.

Suave Water Lily and Aloe co-wash, Lustrasilk Shea and Mango Cholesterol with honey for DT, TJ Refresh as leave-in, FSG and aloe as styling gel.

Thanks! I'm so frustrated, but I'll give this one a try. I have a hairstylist who gives great cuts, but knows absolutely nothing about products for curly hair. I'm not sure if there are any stylists in my city who know curly hair and can help me sort through the product thing. So frustrating and so expensive!

I went back to trying B&A gel again, but it's giving me greasy hair.
