Your morning routine on a work day...
How long does it take you to get ready for work in the morning? What are the essential things you must do regarding hair and make-up to step out the door? I need to co-wash my hair, put gel in it and clip it and regarding make-up concealer is a big must for me. Also, some blush, eyeshadow and mascara and subtle eyeliner. Less is more for me in my mid-forties. It all takes about a couple hours including drying my hair. I wish I could get it together more quickly!

I usually shower in the evening so my hair can be mostly dry before bed (thick shoulder length). I gave up makeup in high school. Too much time and money, and I didn't like it. It made me feel like I was presenting a face that wasn't mine! If other folks don't like it, they have my permission not to look!
So my morning routine is to brush my teeth, take my pills, feed the dogs, eat breakfast, wake up the husband, get dressed and head out the door. I get up about an hour before I leave for work.

I could easily do everything in an hour but I like to take my time and don't have to be to work til 10am so I get up 2 hours before I have to be there.
8 - 8:30 Wake up. Get dressed. Feed furkids. Wash hair, plop. Put on face.
8:30 - 9:50 Eat breakfast, read paper, do email, watch tv shows, dry hair
9:50 Go to work.
Occasionally I get up at 7 and walk or work out for an hour.

I'm a morning person and I like to get up first - usually between 5:30 and 6. I love to enjoy a pot of tea when no one else is up and about. Once my peace and quiet is disturbed, lol, it takes me about an hour to eat, shower, do my hair and make-up.

Wow, I'm envious. I take 2 hours if I rush, but I don't like to, so I prefer taking 3.

cup of tea
jump in shower for a couple of minutes
touch up hair
makeup
dress
out the door
watch news while doing all of the above (except the shower) and only takes 90 minutes most of the time, though i can manage in 30 if i sleep in!

Takes me about 90 minutes if I edit out breakfast time, playing with the dogs, and my early morn' internet fix. - Either CO or WO wash.
- Floof my hair with products. Air dry.
- Breakfast, dogs, internet
- Waste time figuring out what I want to wear. Can't seem to get this accomplished the night before to save time in the morning.
- Makeup stuff.
- Out the door, usually running late.

Let the dogs out
Let the dogs in
Feed the dogs
Feed self and take pills (seem to be more every year)
Brush teeth
Wash face
Into the shower, shampoo
Put a little product in the old pixie cut
Do the makeup (less is more, but I NEED lipstick)
Get dressed
Let dogs out again, back in again
Give them a goodbye biscuit treat
Run out door and do the 5-minute drive to work
All done with Headline News in the background

dry hair
walk mutt
make bed
brush teeth
dress

give mutt treat
leave, usually @ 7:20
I don't eat breakfast at home...I keep granola and milk at work and I pack my lunch every night so I don't have to do that in the a.m.
