Best leave-in and gel for thin fine haired 2b/3a hair
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best products for thin, fine 2b/3a hair? I think the Deva products are weighing my hair down too much. There is so much trial and error in this process of embracing one's curls!

My hair is fine low porosity and there isn't a lot of it. Was a 2 something/3a up until 9/1/08. Started out with Deva, but it did nothing for my hair. I like the more natural products in my signature. I can use minute amounts of richer products with good results. The Donna Marie products might be good for you--certainly a great place to start. I really like Curl Junkie, too, but they are "heavier."

Thanks for the recommendations Kathy! I have also found that it is a necessity for my hair to co-wash each day to prevent matting and product buildup. It fluffs up my hair and also diffusing the Pixie Curl way helps.

Ooh so Kathy, if you had to compare the two lines, DM and CJ, you'd say that overall (in general of course) that DM tends to be a little lighter?
I've been avoiding DM cause I was afraid it was heavier.

My hair is very easily weighed down!! Weak wave pattern
Currently using : Mastey Pure for Fine Hair, DoC HG!!!! AOMM,
ATVG = Artec Textureline Volume Gel (seriously this stuff has saved my life)
The only oil my hair digs is coconut.

Have you tried Curl Gel-les'c ? It is very curl enhancing with all day hold; so far the best thing I have tried other than Curl Keeper. It also gives lots of body and thickness. For leave-in I just use my favorite rinse out
(or whatever I have) conditioner. The DM line was curl enhancing but I got too much scalp showing; not much body, fullness or hold.

DM MiraCurl Curling Gelly and Detangler/Leave In are light. The buttermilk and L & T are heavy. Curls Gel-les'c did nothing for me--either curl or frizz wise. I like Goddess Glaze MUCH better.

I have thin/fine 2B/3 hair. I use Jane Carter's Revitalizing Leave In conditioner when I use a LI (I don't use it everyday). It is a lightweight spray. If my hair feels dry, I may use a teeny, tiny dab of KCKT, but that doesn't happen often.
For styling products, I use KCCC and a dab of BRHG. I do not rotate styling products and use them everyday.

Well I've had good luck with many products.
Right now the Donna Marie Detangler Conditioner is working awesome as a LI. I use a VERY tiny amount--reallly almost more of a "smear" than an amount. But that is sufficient for me. Gels I like are BRHG, Abba Pure Finish and Curls Goddess Glaze. I use VERY small amounts of these (less than pea sized)
I also like the Shescentit conditioners including the leave in moisture mist and coco creme but especially the honey wash which I use for rinse out and don't find it heavy at all. For a low poo I've been using Mop C Hydrating Shampoo and it's awesome and has not stripped my hair at all..really excellent IMHO.
For curl enhancement I use Curl Junkie Smoothing Gellee, Duchess of Curls, Mop C Curl Creme and Komaza Coconut Lotion. All work very well for me right now.
I have 2A/3A fine and thin hair. I also use all the below but the above are my current favorites.
