Default How long...

How long can i keep small individual braids in? It is just my hair, no additions, Id like to switch up my protective styling and i think these would last much longer than my twists. Usually i can get 4 days tops from twists.

I was thinking 2 to 3 weeks ...is that too long?

My hair is short, but I've only been able to get about a week before they get really fuzzy. If my hair was longer I'd wear it the second week fuzzy and all, I'd just pin it up in updos for another week then wear a braid out for the third week.

For now, realistically, only one week, but now that the cold weather's coming I'm trying to change this.

Also, check out newlynatural blog http://newlynatural.com/blog/ , I hope she doesn't mind if I mention her here She just gave some good ideas how to get her twists to last longer.Look under maintaining twists on dry hair. I'm going to try this on my braids.

some peoples' hair starts to loc pretty fast. it will depend on your hair. just be on the lookout for that if it is something you are trying to avoid.
