just when i was figuring things out...
ugh! i was looking through old pictures tonight and showed hubs this one and asked him if he remembered me when my hair looked like this, he said yeah, it looks hot you need to cut that hair, I'm sorry it doesn't look good on you most of the times and makes you look older WT!!!! ok so now i'm totally confused as to what i should do....
I feel like my hairs texture has changed and wont look like that now, especially since i am so much more wavier now than i was then.

don't you just LOVE husbands sometimes???
anyway, i disagree. i think you look much younger in the pic in your sig than in the one you just posted. and your hair looks pretty wavy in that pic, so i'm guessing it was from this summer perhaps? i will say i think you look best with lighter hair, from all the pics i've seen you post over the past few months. but that's just my two cents, and i'm only going on photos; you may look very different in person.

Hi Wavy,
My husband has told me a few times I had old lady hair and I'd tell him I am an old lady He loves frizz and when it's too defined he hates it!
Anyway........I have a vision of you w/ bangs. I think they would totally accent your beautiful eyes! What i see are long wispy bangs hitting below your brow. Mot exactly side swept but wispy. does that make sense?
How long ago was the pic taken??

I love your hair all long and wavy! I don't think it ages you at all, I think it looks great!

Well, if you cut it would you style it wavy still, or go back to straight? Would he feel the same way about your hair that short and wavy? I don't know if you ever wore it that way...I personally love the short wavy look, but my hair doesn't get wavy enough until it is longer.
Anyway, I feel hubby's like a certain look because it reminds them of a certain time they have fond memories of it. Main thing is how did YOU feel when it was like that? I think if you like the way you look it will show in your mood (being happier, feeling sexier, etc). That is when you are your most beautiful. Hubby's will see that and in turn love how you look, making new fond memories. That's my opinion anyway.
Oh, and I agree with LC, I think you look younger in your more recent pictures.

You look absolutely adorable with the straight haircut. I LOVE IT!! What a cute style.
I also love you with the curly hair, too.
I totally understand how you feel. Just go with what YOU like best. You can't go wrong with either style!!
(BTW, how did you get your straight hair - did you just blow it or did you flat-iron it?)

My husband loves my curls. He says I look good with my hair straight, but that it doesn't look like "me."
Wavywonder, I do like your hair when it was straight, it looks really cute. But I like your curls better!

Men...you have to feel sorry for those humans afflicted with the Y chromosome.
I like both styles on you, but I prefer the cut you have now for versatility.
Oh, and ITA that hubby may be looking at a pic and remembering a fun time rather than actually prefering a hairstyle on you. Did you worry/fuss about your hair much during the time that pic was taken? While he may not remember details that specific, if you were happy then and unhappy now, THAT'S what he's really seeing when he compares hair today to hair then. Just my 2 cents!

I just posted something about this exact same thing on my blog! I hate when something like that totally makes me question everything when I had been perfectly happy before. Don't stress - you look gorgeous no matter how you wear your hair.

omg you nailed it! he thinks i'm overwhelmed with my hair and in order for it to look Good i need to spend a lot of time on it which is not all that true. See that picture was taken, ohhh , probably 5-6 years ago and we we were engaged, so he never heard my complaints but i have had short hair since then, so.... that theory is sort of blown out of the water.
The only thing with short, i love it , but when you get bored with it....it's a biatch to grow out.

MEN is right!!! and when he says he doesn't like it , it's scraggly, and not done. I told him I'm a SAHM and he said yeah, don't you want something easy? not sure short is all that easy.... especially when it grows out. Then he'll really hear me biatch
oh and i believe my hair was a lot straighter back then. I do not believe i fussed all that much with my hair. I certainly didn't use a flat iron. I probably just used a blow dryer , with no brush.

LC...I agree i need some highlights. The problem with them is they are always too overwhelming. I want subtle. But since there is light hair under my brown i feel my hair is going to be lightening up on it's own.

that is brilliant insight peaches and chrstnmarie!
When my hubby and I first got married, he found a picture of me (a rare one) with very long straight hair (my hair didn't start to get wavy until I was 26 or so). He gusshed on and on about how my hair looked in that pic. The problem was that my hair will never look like it did in that pic, and that's because it was totally dye damaged and fuzzy. That was the only thing that gave my hair body. So when I straightened it, it looked really nice. I tried and TRIED to explain to him that my hair will never look like that again because that was a specific combination of events that most likely will never happen again. He never understood heh. Now he loves it when I get my hair cut like it was when we first got together (angled bob -- who knew that would still be instyle 15 years later).
I think this whole curly hair thing has him baffled. So to bring this whole long story back around to peaches point, your hubby is probably just remembering that you didn't fuss with it so much then -- had less products around the house -- etc. And he probably did like the way it looked back then (men aren't usually as picky about our hairstyles as we are) so in his mind, its a good thing if you go back to the shorter cut.
However, its YOUR head, and YOU have to stare at it in the mirror every morning. In our house we say, "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." LOL

Hubby's are funny...my husband loved it when my hair was longer so that I could wear "curly" or straight. He liked me to mix it up. My problem was I loved my hair in some sort of short bob style and I would wear it straight everyday (because when it's that short I hardly had any wave). Now I am growing it out, which makes him happy, but I have not worn it straight in over a month. It's much easier for me though...as many of you can probably agree, you don't have much time to yourself with a 14 month old. I'm liking quick and easy

my hubs love short hair...it seems he's one of the few. I remember being out at a bar years ago with my short hair and all my friends with their long hair. I remember the guy making a comment to me something to the effect that he liked girls with long hair. I remember feeling so bad after he said it. Like he pretty much told me i was ugly. anyways, I think MOST men like long hair and it seems a lot of girls like short. Maybe my 3 glasses in deep with my cab is speaking right now . It's funny i have a girl crush. she is BEST friends with my really good friends younger sister. she is beautiful. Long dark hair, blue eyes and just gorgeous. I always ask my hubs what he thinks of her and he's like "eh". She's a bigger girl, big boned and tall, so that could be it?? but it's just funny how i think she is absolutely beautiful and if i was a guy i'd be all over her. Her BF (who is my friends younger sister) said she never really got hit on while out. anyways, not sure what this has to do..oh, yeah, it seems men and women are just totally different people. and men suc lol. Kidding.
And it's not like i haven't had short hair (sorry i'm putting it in reverse) recently. I had super short hair last summer. So there.
Also, am i wrong in saying it takes a particular type of guy that goes for a girl with short hair? I could be wrong but i feel it's guys who see more than just a pretty face.....? you ef you to the guy who told me several years ago in a bar that he didn't like girls with long hair. I don't like douche bag guys
