Default I really want bangs but I'm not sure if it will look hideous

I really want bangs but I don't know if it will look super cute or just horribly unnatural. Im searching for pictures of curls with bangs but I'm not seeing anything that looks realistic! Does anyone have any advice OR pics?! Thanks!

How curly is your hair? I think if you have waves, then you can totally make it work. You can go with shorter bangs, blunt bangs, whatever you want! Even Taylor Swift-like hair if the bangs are longer and side-swept. But if your hair is super tightly curled, then bangs might look out of place.

My advice would be to post a picture of yourself and post a picture of what you like and you'd be surprised how many curlies will offer their opinion. Other than that, i agree w Kelnaran, it depends on the pattern of your hair. Personally, I love bangs

Mellie -
Kelneran's right - depends on the look you're going for.
I have a side part & bangs angled to the side. I'm happy with this look. I wasn't happy with blunt straight across bangs curling every which way!

I just had bangs cut into my hair for the first time since elementary school a few months ago. I usually straighten just the bang portion (sideswept, nose-length). I can wear them curly since they are longer, but I think it looks better when I straighten them. The whole look is definitely more interesting than just my old side part I've had for years and years. I don't have nearly this much volume, but overall it looks like this: http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/5/8/i/curly14.JPG .

I cut my own side swept bangs today. My hair is jvery curly, but not as much on top. So I decided to go for it.

Looked up some videos on how to cut a fringe and did it, so far it's looking good, although going to a salon is a better option.

The advantage of my fringe is that its length is halfway between the nose and eyes so if it turns out to be a bad, bad mistake it will be easy to pin across and look good. When it dries i shall post a picture if you're interested.

I just got bangs in my hair yesterday. My hair is 3a mostly, above my shoulders, with tons of layers, and now side swept bangs. I'll see if I can get an updated picture tomorrow. My avatar is outdated. I debated them, but I really needed those layers and the bangs make me look younger, IMO. I would say post pics and we can give ya some opinions.

I can't deal with bangs; my hair is straightish for the first inch or two but then it starts waving. This means that my bangs have to be pretty short or else the ends start curling up strangely and look not unlike horns.

However, I do have some shorter layers (nose length) around my face. That length works, it's long enough that they form actual curls rather than just weirdly behaving things.
