Florida curlies....
Just wondering how your hair is today. The dews are a little lower right now (here it's 59) and it's making a big difference to my hair. Right now I have suave coconut in my hair as a leave in and a little BRHG and my hair looks better than it has in months.
I know lately we've all been having some issues with our hair misbehaving so how's it working out for you today and what are you using?

Well I had a good run with DoC for about 3 weeks. This last week my hair has been feeling dryer, so its been a little bit droopier and stringier. I did a DT last night, and its a little bit better. Still a little stringy. But I did try to use CK yesterday, and I remembered why I stopped using it, and it was because it made my hair stringy. Oh, and did I mention it was frizzier than when I use DoC?
Ooh oh oh, I did try the GTN and it was decent. For having all those oils in it, it weighed my hair down a little bit, but left if very soft.
Though I know it doesn't help you very much if I answer your question, because we use such different products lol. Usually it only helps because I know if something works for me, it probably won't work for you lol.

My hair is very easily weighed down!! Weak wave pattern
Currently using : Mastey Pure for Fine Hair, DoC HG!!!! AOMM,
ATVG = Artec Textureline Volume Gel (seriously this stuff has saved my life)
The only oil my hair digs is coconut.

LOL! That usually does help me! It's too bad we can't use and love the same things but it makes it great for us to trade!

I did wanna make sure and tell you that switching to a leave in (not spray) has really made a difference. I've been using the CJ CA leave in -- that gave me frizz this summer -- and its been giving me glorious waves. It makes the back more uniform.

Well a little of the fright wig look goin' on here, I was at daughter's regional meet (she is a diver for her high school swim team) and it was WINDY. I pulled the hair back in a looped pony but it still suffered some wind damage.
My hair likes humidity though; I was born here so I guess it's native Florida hair.

Good to see the weather is helping.
The dews are 61 and humidity is 60% here in SE FL.
The wind is way up today so I just decided to not do anything to it today. 2nd day curls in the wind are lookin pretty much BIG and WILD.
My BF likes it this way he calls it "that just f***ed look!"
It's not too frizzy just full and curly.
Sunday will be the test going to a small party so I hope for lowers dews and a great curly day!

I did my normal routine and had a much better hair day...better than I'd had in about a month! I had no idea what was going on but was grateful. There was no poofy/fluffy look going on and I had great definition, and minimal frizz (at least for my hair).

LMAO!!! That's awesome! I have to say I love this weather for all kinds of reasons!
Robin - I was born here too but my hair just goes nuts in the humidity. I wish mine liked it! I'd definitely have more good hair days than bad if that were the case!

My hair hasn't really changed a ton in the lower dews other than taking much longer to dry! I have been getting multi-day hair though. I don't know if it's the weather or I'm getting more tolerant.
I haven't changed a thing as far as my products are concerned. Still just LVPNG, FSG and BRHG = happy hair.

hi, i didn't know you're in FL too! one of my fave curlies and we can also swap humidity styling tips! my hair is doing well lately b/c i cut off most of the highlighted sections.
i haven't found a good leave-in yet though. really i still need help finding ways to style it curly.
i tried for stylers/leave-ins: the GVP cond balm; the AOHR cond; KY jelly; KCCC.
all have made my hair very 'gunky' and gummy. my hair is very thick stranded so that is probably why it's hard for me to leave a thick conditioner on but i do need a lot of weight in my leave-in. my favorites have cones in them though so i'm not using them.
any other suggestions would be great!
it's been super windy so my hair is being blown around a lot.

Hey! I haven't found a good leave in either. right now I'm auditioning my rinse out conditioners. I've tried the GF triple nutrition - leaves me producty. The GF sleek n shine weighs my curls down a little which isn't necessarily a bad thing for me. Giovanni 50:50 leave me feeling a little gunky as does the Tigi MM. Condiitoning Balm leaves my hair sooo soft and feels great but the frizz is out of control.
I'm really wanting to try the giovanni direct leave in but I'm gonna have to wait a little bit before I try it. Yeah the wind is a little bit of a problem. I had great hair last night but spent some time outside and it was blown around quite a bit. But overall it's not nearly as frizzy as it has been the last few months! I love this weather!

I'm very close to FL (Brunswick, GA), if that counts! The lowest I've seen the dews hit so far has been 55. So I think my dews/climate is similar to y'all's? Anyway, my hair has been plain weird to deal with.
Yesterday was one of my worst hair days in a long time. I started off with bouncy and soft curls, but then I went to St. Simons Island to an antique show (near the pier) and left with the worst frizz I've had since going CG. It was very breezy, and I should have just put it up. Or did a LI and some salt spray for beachy waves. Frizz looks better with that style! When I woke up this morning my hair was still standing up and freaking out. And I usually want more body/height! So yeah, I understand the wind woes!
I'm still figuring out what my hair likes and dislikes, but so far FSG is a HG for me. Tinah, I think you're on to something. What is your hair's porosity? Mine is low to low-normal.

My hair has normal porosity and medium texture. And yes you're pretty close to our temps. Brunswick isn't that far over the border so...yeah.

I did Suave coconut as a COwash, rinse out, and a touch for LI tonight. Added FSG and rushed out the door. The wave pattern looks like crap, but I don't have any frizz. Some salt water or GF surf paste and I could do something with it. Anyway, THAT'S what I meant as I posted and ran, that you were onto something about using lighter products right now (goober too). My hair is shiny and slick now!

My hair's been awful lately (like for the last 2 months). I've been having a hard time finding a product combo that works for my hair. I'd been using Deva One C, but then they changed the formula and it gave me a lot of frizz.
I've been experimenting with various products since then, but haven't found one routine that works consistently. Needless to say, I'm frustrated. I thought when the temps and humidity dropped that my hair would be fabulous.
I've tried the following in all sorts of combos (co-wash and leave-in): V05 tea therapy, Suave Ocean Breeze, Suave Coconut, Giovanni 50/50.
Gel: Deva ArcAngell (which totally doesn't seem to work for me anymore), got2b spiked up (pretty decent results), Tresemme Bouncy Curls (used to work great, now it's hit or miss).
Tried laying off the proteins, hydrating more and on and on. I'm tired of bad hair days.

It's been too windy here to leave my hair out, even though it is a bit cooler than a few weeks ago. Ah well.. I guess on the bright side the weather is forcing me to remain in protective styles.
